Melissa's POV

Jumping ahead to my freshman year of high school at Southside high. I tried out for the cheer team and made it. I have practice very early in the morning so I can have the afternoon to myself. I have started to work in the bar at the Whyte Wyrm on Friday's and the weekends. It's safe to say I do get frustrated that it's every weekend. I have tried to have someone cover for me but no one will give me a hand. Toni is busy with her things and every time I try to tell Fp that my hours need to change he's always with someone. I don't work until 6 so I spend most of my day sleeping and doing nothing. I finally got to have FP meet me in the lounge before school today. 

FP- Melissa you said you wanted to meet with me

Melissa- Yeah lets do it privately 

I walked into the school paper and this is the only room that doesn't smell like drugs.

Fp- Whats going on 

Melissa- FP I love you but can I please have my weekends back and work Thursday and Friday nights 

FP- Whats going on 

Melissa- I'm behind on lots of sleep and I can't handle the crowed 3 nights in a row 

FP- I can see what I can do 

Melissa- Yay thank you 

FP- And I agree you should have those days to be a teenager 

Melissa- Okay bye 

He left and I walked back into the lounge. 

Daniel- Did you get them changed

Melissa- Yep I did

Daniel- Thats good

Melissa- Gross I have math I love you 

Daniel- Love you too 

I walked out and he smacked my butt as I was leaving. I looked at him and shook my head. The math teacher is so boring that most of us don't get involved. As we were going through the lesson some people fell asleep. 

Teacher- Alright come on anyone. Melissa whats the answer 

Melissa- 15 

Teacher- Thank you

He continued and then the bell interrupted him. We all ran out and I walked to my next class. It was English and people were more engaged in this. My math teacher is about to get fired though.

Teacher- Melissa hold on a second

Melissa- Yeah 

Teacher- I need you stop spacing out in my classes your my star student 

Melissa- I'm sorry its just

Teacher- What you on your phone late

Melissa-No sir I have a job and

Teacher- Yeah sure lies. All lies 

Melissa- Sir 

He was yelling at me for trying to talk back. He was honestly a little insane and when he was mad about something it was scary. 

Teacher- Don't just stand there do something. DO SOMETHING STAR STUDENT 

He then slapped me and Beth happened to be walking by when it happened. He didn't notice until she was in the class. I ran to my classroom and walked to my teacher. 

Mrs. Eddie- Hey Melissa what can I do for you 

Melissa- Can I go to the nurses office

Mrs.Eddie- Yeah oh honey what happened
