February 2019

He was close, but she didn't mind it. Whenever he'd near her, his body warmth felt nice against her own. It was just enough to make her heart beat faster. It wasn't enough to make her want him, or maybe not yet.

Melena found him again just on the edge of the crowded dance floor. She caught herself thinking that he looked attractive; his brown curls were messy, his laugh was appealing and his charm was definitely something she hadn't been shielding herself against, even though she knew she could and should.

Pulling softly on his wrist, Melena dragged him towards her. 'Lando, I want another drink.' She told him messily.

He frowned down at her. That confusion on his handsome face was enough for Melena to know that he hadn't heard her over the music. He unexpectedly pulled her towards him. It was one smooth motion; hand now resting on her lower back, her side pressing into his. He was asking her to repeat her words.

She directed her lips up to his ear, knowing that he was listening. 'I want another drink.' She repeated, quite loudly this time.

'Another drink?' He looked either confused again or plainly entertained.

She nodded. 'Get one with me.'

He'd nodded already before those words. Together they approached the bar. Both of them were already tipsy enough, but who was going to stop them? Certainly nobody.

They'd been walking circles around each other the entire night. Even if they'd only recently met. Melena had questioned Lando's intentions, even more so tonight than ever. He'd been touchy, placing his hands on her waist every now and then, which was obvious flirtation. She couldn't bring herself to mind it, though. Not after the few drinks she'd had, nor after her slight interest in him.

And once again, Lando's hand found itself on her lower back. Their chests touching, the driver couldn't resist her anymore.

Melena had picked up on his stares, his gazes, his curious hands. Part of her knew that she should push his hand away, but she didn't want to. She was enjoying his bold behaviour, as well as his slight nervousness.

Some time later, he caught her brown eyes easily with his own. 'Let me kiss you.'

She'd heard him. 'Why?'

Lando's gaze fell down to her mouth. Then, he shrugged like he'd never even thought of the answer to that question. 'Because I want to.' He told her truthfully.

She was blushing, but still didn't fail to be her optimistic self. 'You could kiss so many other girls in here.' She said.

Lando smiled down at her lightly. He quickly ran the tip of his tongue over his bottom lip, preparing himself for what he was going to say next. Despite her reluctance, the driver noticed a curious look within the brown of her eyes. It gave him confidence. 'What if you're the only one I want to kiss?' He asked her.

She didn't know what to say. And she almost drifted off into his eyes. 'Well, I...'

'You're thinking too much.' Lando merely breathed out those words, then bent down to place his mouth on hers.

He inhaled sharply through his nose, instantly relieved when he felt her return the kiss nearly as passionately. For an unknown reason, Lando's heart skipped with an unfamiliar beat. That feeling intensified greatly when he ran his tongue over her bottom lip, feeling hers move gently and eagerly over his own.

Keeping her close, Lando could feel a simple vibration against his lips, a quiet sound that'd slipped from her throat. It did things to him, things he'd never seen coming.
