I was sitting on wooden bench in a picturesque park surrounded by an assortment of bright, colorful flowers and manicured grass. Seriously, this place looked like something out of one of those home & garden magazines you find in a hospital waiting room. As I took in my surroundings I noticed that Jane Doe was sitting on the right side of the bench. She was writing in her journal just like she always does in this dream. I was about to speak when she did something I was not expecting. She turned towards me, slid closer and showed me her journal. I didn't waste any time as I looked down and saw that she had written the same words over and over on both pages, "Do not doubt your eyes they will show you the truth."
Then she pointed towards the tall trees in the distance. I focused my eyes on where she was pointing and noticed there was a creepy, white, blurry figure next to a freaky looking willow tree surrounded by dense fog. The more I stared the more I realized the figure was actually a woman's silhouette. I couldn't make out the details of what she looked like, because she was so far away and blurred by the thick ominous fog.
Suddenly, she flickered like a light until she completely disappeared. I didn't understand what the hell was going on, so I figured I'd ask Jane, but before I could say anything she closed her journal, got up and walked away. Everything around me faded away as I was brought back to reality.
I opened my eyes and quickly realized I was laying across the back seat of the Impala covered from head to toe with my warm, fuzzy blanket.
"Well that was different." I mumbled as I thought about how Jane finally did something beyond her normal routine in my reoccurring dream. Not wanting to leave the warmth of my blanket cocoon I kept myself covered up as I reached my hand out and felt around for my bag. Once I found it I clumsily pulled out my journal and pen nearly dropping them on the floor in the process. Then I pulled them under the cozy warmth of my blanket. I just had to write down what I saw in my dream before I forgot. I especially wanted to make sure to jot down the words I had read in Jane's journal, "Do not doubt your eyes they will show you the truth."
Once I was done, I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and yawned as I sat up. Then I poked my head out from under the warm sanctuary of my fuzzy blanket. I groaned and squinted as sunlight came beaming in through the windows to attack my eyes. I put a hand up to block the sun's rays. When my eyes finally adjusted I noticed that the front seat was completely empty. Where were Dean and Sam?
I quickly glanced out the windows and searched for any sign of them. I bit my nails when my eyes landed on what looked like a crime scene just a couple feet away. There were two police cars along with several officers on an old bridge. As I looked past the police tape barrier I smiled when I finally spotted my brothers talking to a couple of the officers. Then I crouched down and decided to stay hidden in the car, because I didn't want to risk ruining whatever fake aliases they created for themselves.
I figured this crime scene was somehow related to the hunt we were on. I remained hidden in the back seat under the warmth of my blanket as I watched Dean and Sam continue to talk to officers. I pulled my blanket closer to me, because it literally felt like it was getting colder by the second. I mean, no matter how much I tried to bundle up it just wasn't working.
When I glanced down at my journal I felt like drawing something to keep my mind off of the intense drop in temperature. I did a sketch of two children holding hands. It looked like a little girl and a little boy wearing what I assumed were old school uniforms, but something about them seemed off. They both had tears streaming down their faces and were completely drenched with a big puddle of water under their feet. It's looked as if they had been either standing in the rain for hours or had just gotten off a log ride. I stared at the sketch and thought it was beyond weird. I mean, I had no idea why I had drawn it, but I couldn't shake the feeling that it was somehow important. I sighed as I kept my eyes locked on the weird drawing. "Who are you guys?" I whispered under my breath.
