In a universe much like ours, there existed a person who never was in our reality, America Chavez. Captured by a demon after curiosity in her worlds Sanctum Santorum brought her face to face with evil.
"For a demon, you look lame. A ribbon demon? Where're the horns?" America said taunting the demon. The demon had brought America to the nexus of all reality or what remains.

"Can you speak? What do you want?! I understand I went where I was not supposed to but for you to keep me here. There's more to why you captured me." The demon covered America's mouth with its ribbon.
Behind America a portal opened and out from it came a giant creature with sprawling tentacles. The portal was in a star shape, a trademark of America Chavez's powers. She had no control over her powers. At that moment it was clear the demon was using America's powers to allow other demons to enter the multiverse.
She fought to break free but the hold of the demon was too strong. The ribbon demon was then struck down by an energy blast. Doctor Strange but not our Doctor Strange, a variant known as Defender Strange.
"Mind telling me why I have to rescue you from a demon in the nexus of all reality, America?" Defender Strange asked as America got free from the demon.
"This is just a typical Tuesday afternoon. Don't act like this doesn't happen every day." America said while she stood ready to fight the demon.
The portal was closing but the tentacle demon was close to being out. The ribbon demon attacked showing how powerful it was. Defender Strange knew neither of them would leave alive if he didn't make his next choice.
"America, something not right." Defender Strange said. "No shit Sherlock, it's not like we're fighting a demon or anything," America said.
"This demon is stronger than it's supposed to be. There's something behind this. If that other demon gets out, we won't make it back." Defender Strange assessed.
"Together we can-" America said before she got interrupted. "America, no." Defender Strange said. "America, yes." America relied on it while they both held the Demon.
"You have to go back. It's not safe. If someone is behind this then we need someone to warn others. That has to be you. Open a portal and leave." Defender Strange demanded.
"You're always underestimating me. Mordo said I am more than capable of taking on someone like him. That says a lot especially considering his ego." America defended herself.
"This is not about you! It's about the multiverse!" Defender Strange yelled as he got flung around by the ribbon demon.
"You sound like those old people you hang out with. I'm going to stay by your side no matter what! You're all that I have left!" America yelled as she jumped and super punched the demon. The demon fell back but recovered quickly.
Defender Strange cast a spell that made America's powers activate. He forced her into the portal.
"I'm sorry, America." Defender Strange said to himself as he fought the ribbon demon.
Defender Strange couldn't continue holding the demon back when the tentacle demon got out. Defender Strange's right side of his face was badly injured. The heavy fall on the ground from the ribbon demon throwing him is what killed him.
America's star portal sucked him in with the tentacle demon in pursuit of America. Defender Strange got knocked into another part of this foreign universe. Defender Strange's body and the tentacle creature were now in our universe.
