"𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕, 𝒊𝒕'𝒔 𝒎𝒆?"

"mills, help!" five practically screamed as he made his way to the living room. I look up from my book and ask "what?" because I really didn't want to be bothered right now. He takes a seat on the couch right next to me and says "So you know how we were playing truth and dare the other day, and I said that I have a crush on a girl?", "yeah" I replied plainly knowing that I will never be that girl. (yes you can stfu, a little something called self-love)

A bit of backstory: Five has been my best friend since day one but for a while, I couldn't help but get butterflies whenever I'm with him. When you're with friends, I doubt you get butterflies. Anyways back to the conversation. "So who is it?" I asked with fake excitement even though I was happy for Five I couldn't help but feel a little jealous. "Could you help me practice asking her out and then I'll tell you who it is", asked five, extending his hand and offering a deal. I shook his hand and nodded "It's a deal".

"So uh, you can probably figure out that I'm really nervous but here goes nothing, I think you're amazing and I don't know how to say this, but I kinda like you. While we are just friends, I like your humour and personality, so I hope things won't get awkward between us." Five said quickly without stopping at all. "That's what I want to say" he said, searching my face for a reaction.

"FIVE THAT WAS FREAKING AMAZING" I screamed pulling him into a hug. It was amazing, but knowing that it was directed at someone else added a faint saddened look on my face which I soon got rid of to look happy for Five. I was happy for him. "I honestly think I might be rejected" said five rubbing his neck with a dejected look on his face. "No Five look at me" I said holding five's shoulders making him look at me. "It's now or never. So shoot your shot or else you'll never know maybe she likes you too" I said teasingly.

All of sudden there is nothing but silence in the room until Five said "I just did....". "Wait, What?" I said in pure shock.

"So this girl you have a crush on is me?" I asked genuinely curious and at the same time eternally panicking. "Yes," said Five. You know that saying "my stomach was doing cartwheels" yes that's the situation I found myself in. "five, I like you too and I have for a while now. I just never got a chance to say to you after finding out that you liked someone. I thought it was some girl way better than me, blimey much prettier too" I uttered all at one.

"Mills listen to me in my eyes you are perfect just the way you are, I love you not for your looks but for what's on the inside" said five with a smile on his face. My god those dimples, those green eyes and don't even get me started with his hair that I so badly want to touch. Anyhow, let's move on from my simpy ass.

"So does that mean that your my girlfriend now" asked five. " if you want me to be" I asked with a laugh. Five pulled me in a hug instantly. If there is one thing that I learned through this It was that shot your shot no matter the outcome, the outcome may leave you shook yourself and It could be something way better than what you had initially planned. I mean look at me I have a boyfriend now.. who would have thought. (if you get the reference ily)
