Chapter 4: Love can make you an idiot

*2 month time skip*
Time went fast after getting in this new school. I settled in easily in the group. (The group was filled with nice accepting people which I loved) Everything well is fine and I made a whole lot of new friends. I got into football which honestly I'm not surprised that I got in. Ikonik joined in as well because I was in it but honestly it isn't for him. (He struggled but kept up with our pace) During these 2 months, I got to know Brite I bit more and learn a lot about her. She was well different from the other girls which sounds typical but it's the truth. Ever since day one that I met her.. I think I fell for her. I just wanted to push those thoughts back because guilt filled me up because my ex girlfriend. What if she loves me and is looking for me? I loved my girlfriend and its hard of letting go of her because of all the good memories we had together. I need to accept the fact that I might meet someone new but it's hard thinking about it.

Damn it love is more complicated than I thought..

A lot of 'what if' questions just circled my mind a lot during just these 2 months. Not just that but many other things circled my mind like being careful with some people because you can respect them but you can't just trust all of them. Sanctum was right about some of them being 'two sided assholes' which I had a fair share meeting some of them already.

I continued with my normal routine which was meeting up with the group in the mornings. A small yawned involuntarily slipped out of my mouth since football practice yesterday was gruesome. A chirpy voice caught my attention which I immediately recognize. It was Skye. Skye is the youngest from the group (from what I was told) since she is the only sophomore in our group. She is basically the little sister of the group which we all were overprotective of.

"Hey Drift! Your finally here! Look Brite your boyfriend is here!" She smiled as she grabbed Brite's arm swinging it. "Hey what are you holding!"

"Skye.. how are you this hyper in the morning? Also he isn't my boyfriend.. we are just friends." Brite softly spoke with a raspy morning voice.

"Tough morning?" I asked as I stood next to her holding a small bag. Her eyes tell me that she has been having problems sleeping since they are a shade of purple. (The other day she did tell me that she sometimes has a hard time sleeping which I could see now.)

"I guess. Didn't sleep as well as I wanted but you know I have to continue my day. So how was your morning ,pretty boy, heard you had a tough football practice yesterday." She tiredly said as she let out a small yawn.

"It was alright not too bad. Also I got you a little something since I do you know want to make your morning a bit better since it looks like it's starting off like shit." I slightly chuckled. I handed her the small brown baggie that I was holding and waited for her to open it.

"Oh Drift. Yo-you shouldn't have honestly.. anyways what is it?" She asked as she opened the bag to see what was in it. "Oh thanks! You really didn't have too." She shyly said.

"No it's alright. I like getting you small gifts plus you get hungry in the mornings so why not get you a donut."

"Aww how cute! You guys should really get together!" Skye chirped.

Our wholesome moment was interrupted as we heard 2 people running towards us in a fast pace. We all naturally turned to look who was these two people running. And of course it was the two knuckleheads of the group Sanctum and Trouble. At the very end of the corridor I saw Ikonik, it looked like Ikonik struggled catching up towards them since they were running in such a fast pace. 

"Dammit Sanctum! You beat me to it.. oh shit I'm out of breath." Trouble heavily talked while letting out harsh breathes.

"Take that loser and you say I'm not fast but how fucking wrong were you." Sanctum smirked as he teased Trouble for being too slow. Honestly I thought both were fast.
