Chapter 6-Ends and Begninnings

" Well it' seems that he has a very strong case of clinical deoression.... Some, therapy and maybe even some pills would do him good." The doctor said, checking his clipboard as he went. " But, he will need help from you too. Family and friends are very important in this sort of thing. He needs you." Mike nodded, and placed his hand on Jeremy's shoulders. Jeremy blushed a little, but then quickly sulllened. They were at the local hospital. Jeremy had gone there without a struggle. And now, here they were.
" Well I'm going to go file out some of the paperwork....' Said the doctor, then leaving the room. He closed the door behind him. Mike sat on the bed, next to Jeremy. He looked at a loss for words, clearly not even knowing a sensible pun for the situation. He looks awkward for a minute, but then suddenly moves forward. He hugs Jeremy tightly.
" Don't ever scare me like that kid..... Ever again." Jeremy hugs back, his emotions finally spilling over, tears spilling over his cheeks. He sobbed
" I-I'm sorry Mike!! I-I-I never met to hurt you... It's just... ,y dad.... And my family.... They all either hate me or are gone..."
" Kid.... Those people are jerks. Who cares what they think? That's just they're opinion. Your better than all of them. You know why?" Mike pulls away, and pokes where Jeremy's heart would be. " You got it there kid, where it matters most. I care for you Jeremy, and I'll be here for you."
Jeremy feels a smile tug at his lips. He hugs Mike again.
So what if he was different? So what if he needed some support. His story just wasn't over yet.
And for once, Jeremy was glad about that.
