Chapter 33: Vanaheim

The war on Vanaheim was violent and hard. Sif and the warriors were doing their best to protect the people of the land with the Asgard soldiers. As Sif found herself face to face with an opponent that could end her, the Bifrost opened and ripped him to shreds, Mjolnir came flying out across the field knocking through creatures as it went before returning to Thor's hand.

"I've got this completely under control" Sif yelled at Thor after his lightning took out a group of creatures and he turned to look at her smirking.

"Is that why everything's on fire?" he asked with a laugh before he got tackled to the ground.

"I feel as Lady Ana would have loved this " Volstagg yelled towards Hogun who gave him a laugh and a nod,

"She would have gladly embraced the fight " Sif yelled to the two as she fought back a creature. Fandral rode in jumping off his horse to slash a beast that leaned over Sif as he smirked at her.

"Lady Anastasia would have had a hard time focusing with you three hollering" he joked before getting punched in the face. The group laughed while they fought pushing back the invaders thinking of their friend they knew for such a short time. Mjolnir flew across the field from Thor's hand while sif blocked a fired bolt to his head with her shield. She eyed him,

"If you die before you return to see her she most certainly will have all our heads on platters whether she remembers the rest of us or not '' Sif informed him. " You're welcome" she added before diving back into the fight. Thor turned his eyes on a creature that slashed him, while catching his hammer and charging towards it with anger. The battling died when a large roaring echoed out over the field they were in drawing all attention to the sky. Heavy stomping moved towards the battle, Thor slowly turning to meet whatever was headed in his direction. With a huff he flexed his fingers around his hammer and stared down the large ogre that approached. The creature roared again and swatted an Asgardian soldier out of it's way.

"Really" Thor muttered with a roll of his eyes,

"All yours" Sif said, leaning over towards him slightly. He gave her a look of confusion before sighing and holding his head high . He squared his shoulders before he walked towards the stomping creature, It's appearance of stone and rock he watched it slam it's large club into the ground repeatedly while the crowd around them chanted.

"Hello" Thor said looking up at it, Sif rolled her eyes behind him crossing her arms over her breastplate.

"This will go well," Volstagg said, coming up beside her to lean on his large ax.

"So who goes to see Anastasia if he dies here" Fandral said with a smirk only to get smacked in the arm by Hogun,

"Not you...quiet" he said firmly watching Thor and the creature interact, which was mostly one sided.

"I accept your surrender" Thor said with a large grin when the crowd of creatures began laughing. With two fingers Thor began to spin Mjolnir quickly before he pulled his arm back and smashed it through the rock beast watching it shatter violently and crumble to bits on the ground. Silence overcame the battle zone one more as Thor looked around, "Anyone else" he said to them with a shrug. Slowly around them weapons began clattering to the ground, Sif laughed softly shaking her head.

"Perhaps next time we should start with the big one" Fandral pointed out with his sword while shaking his head. Prisoners of war were led away and out of the town while Thor and the warriors came together helping folks put their homes back together the best they could. Hogun walked around checking on the injured while he thought of his family here and his people. He came up beside Thor who was overseeing things,
