(CW: Swearing)

Freddy scratched his head in confusion as he paced around the rehearsal room. On the other side of the room Roxy and Chica were playing a card game. They were waiting for Monty to show up.

"What's taking Monty so long?" He asked out loud. He was a bit frustrated.

"He sure is taking his sweet time." Roxy sneered as she placed a card down.

They heard footsteps approaching thinking it was Monty, but instead of seeing him Pj walked into the room.

"Hey, have you seen Monty?" He asked, looking around.

"If he was here then you wouldn't be asking." The wolf snidded.

"I'm going to ignore that," he said. "Freddy, did you happen to see him at all today?"

The bear shook his head, "Actually I haven't seen him since Vanessa and I went to Bonnie Bowl."

Which was a little while ago, it was strange.

Pj nodded, "Alright, well if you see him tell him that I wanted to talk to him."

Freddy tilted his head,"You're leaving?"

"Yeah," he rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm not feeling too well."

The bear narrowed his eyes. Pj isn't the type of person to just go home when he isn't feeling well. Something was up with him.

"Alright, see you later." Freddy said.

"Yeah, see ya." He spoke in a hushed tone as he walked out.

Freddy sighed, "I'm gonna look for Monty." He told them.

He made his way out going to the atrium. Looking around for the gator, but he didn't see him.

Where is he? He glanced over at Gator Golf, Monty must be in there.

He entered the mini golf course attraction, making his way up to the rafters where sure enough he spotted the gator. He was sitting down, his legs hanging off the edge, leaning against the bars.
He had a dejected look on his face.

He approached Monty. "Hey." He greeted me as he sat down next to him.

He hummed a response, but didn't look at him. "Is something wrong?"

"Pj was looking for you."

The gator stayed silent staring blankly at the mini golf course below.

"Freddy…" he called softly.

The bear looked at him. "Do you consider me your friend?" He asked.

"Of course, you're my friend." Freddy didn't understand why he was asking that question.

"Even after finding out what I've done, you still treat me like a friend."  He sighed. "You should hate me."

Freddy shook his head as he placed his hand on the other's shoulder. "Well I don't hate you."

"We all make mistakes." He gave him a reassuring squeeze. "You shouldn't let your mistakes define you."

"I was jealous…" Monty mumbled.

"I wanted the spotlight, I wanted to be the face of the PizzaPlex…"

"I had thoughts about getting rid of you…"

"Of Bonnie…"

"I never wanted to hurt him…"

He always knew that Monty wanted to take his place, it was obvious because of how he acted at the beginning. He was arrogant, egotistical, and aggressive. Another reason why he and Bonnie didn't get along back then. Now he was less of those things, he was caring and thoughtful. It must have been hidden away.

"I never wanted to hurt anyone…" his voice broke as he tried to hold back his sobs. He put his face in his hands.

Freddy rubbed small circles on his back to soothe him. "I never knew this is how you felt."

"I didn't realize how much this had actually affected you."

He always saw the gator as someone who only cared for himself, he would've never guessed that Monty cared about his friends just as much as he did. There was more to him than he realized.

"I'm sorry," he apologized, moving his hands out of the way to look at the bear. "I'm not usually like this."

"It's fine Monty." Freddy assured him. "I'm glad you told me."

"Really?"

He nodded, "I feel like I understand you a bit better now."

"I'm just glad you're not upset." Monty said sheepishly.

"Well, I'm kinda upset that you kept us waiting."

He raised a brow confused, before his eyes widened in realization. "Shit." He smacked his head. "I completely blanked."

"It's fine, it's not like you did it on purpose." The bear smiled at him. "You had a lot on your mind."

"Yeah," the gator rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry about that."

"It's fine Monty," Freddy stood to his feet. "Don't worry about it."

He got up and stood beside him. "We should probably go, we still have to rehearse."

"Yeah, let's go."

They made their way to the rehearsal room. As they walked in they heard Roxy shout. "Screw this!"

Roxy was tearing up the playing cards into shreds.
The pieces falling to the floor, almost like how snow falls from the sky down to the ground. Chica was on the floor making a snow angel out of the pieces.

The bear shook his head in disappointment. "I don't even want to deal with this."

"So, tomorrow?" Monty asked, glancing over at Freddy.

"Yes, tomorrow." He walked out not even bothering to deal with them.

The gator caught up with him.
"Hey, you said that Pj was looking for me."

He nodded, "Yeah, he wanted to talk to you."

"Do you know where he went?"

"He left." He told him, rubbing the back of his neck.

"He left? When?"

"Before I found you, he came to the rehearsal room looking to see if you were there." He explained. "When he couldn't find you he left, he said he wasn't feeling too well."

Monty sighed, running his hand over his mohawk.

"What did you do?"

He looked at the bear. "We actually had a fight the other day." He admitted sheepishly.

Freddy shook his head, "I figured something happened."

"The way you were acting when we were in Bonnie Bowl suggested that something was wrong."

"It was my fault," he sighed. "I tried to get him to talk about something that he didn't want to talk about."

The bear narrowed his eyes, he smacked the back of Monty's head. "Why the fuck would you do that?"

The gator groaned as he rubbed his head. "It wasn't my fault."

He glared at him, making the other flinch. Freddy sighed, "We'll discuss this tomorrow."

He really didn't want to deal with this now. He just wanted to go to his room and not have to deal with anything. Of course he mostly wanted to spend time with his purple bunny lover.

Monty nodded, "See you later, Freddy." He waved before walking away.

As he continued making his way to his room. In the corner of his eye he saw a figure, he quickly turned to see that there was nothing there.

The bear shook his head. He felt like something was off. Maybe it was nothing, but he just couldn't shake the feeling. Was there something still lurking here?
