(CW: Mention of blood)

Days have gone by since that one night. The night that changed everything for Vanessa. She finds herself wondering the many what ifs. She wonders why they forgave her. She did so many terrible deeds. She hurt so many people. So, why should she be forgiven?

She had no control over anything. Forced to obey his every command. A reluctant follower. Watching from the backseat as someone else takes the wheel.

She was hoping that since Bonnie was back he would have some insight, but sadly no. She wanted answers. She wanted to know more about what was really going on. She only had partial memories, the rest seemed like a blur.

Vanessa was in deep thought as she stared at the room in front of her. Up at the top of Fazer blast the lair that Vanny resided in. That thing took over her, used her. She tried to get help, but she couldn't. She wouldn't let her.

That VR game was the reason all of that happened. What if she had never touched that game? Would she even be working here? But if she didn't then she wouldn't have met Gregory. She wouldn't have taken him in. He would still be on the streets, alone having to fend for himself.

"Vanessa?"

She jumped, turning her head to see Freddy.
"Freddy? What are you doing?" She asked.

"You seem distressed." He commented, ignoring her question.

"What if she comes back?" She asked, in a small voice. She was terrified to even think about that happening.

Freddy looked away, "She should be gone, along with the virus."

"Yeah, but there's always that small chance that she will come back to try to finish what she began." The woman sighed.

"If there is that small chance then we'll take care of it." He said, smiling at her.

She turned her head, giving him a small smile before turning back.

They stayed silent till Vanessa spoke again.
"I've just been thinking about what Pj told us."

"About what happened to Bonnie, right?"

She nodded, "It doesn't make sense."

"If they found him damaged, why would they dismantle him?"

"They would've tried to salvage him, or at most tried to see if they could get him back in working order."

The bear frowned, "Wait, he told us that they made him dismantle Bonnie, correct?"

She nodded, "Yes, what are you getting at?"

His eyes widened in realization, "Pj lied to us."

She furrowed her brows, "What do you mean he lied to us?"

"You remember when you asked him why he dismantled Bonnie."

He slowly looked up, "Why?" The male repeated.

He narrowed his eyes and raised himself up to stand on his feet. He took a step forward as he explained, "Because they would've fired me if I didn't."

"I offered to repair him."

"But all they care about is money and if anything seems too expensive to fix they toss it out and replace it."

He sighed, "Another reason why I hate the company."

Vanessa's eyes widened as she placed her hand over her mouth. "They don't just toss it out cause they always salvage parts and reuse them." She said, realizing the contradictory.
