3 years later
"Clara! You're going to miss the bus at this rate!" I yelled, packing her lunch.
"I'm coming!" I heard her footsteps echo throughout the apartment. "I thought dad was dropping me off today!"
"No, not today sweetie," I frowned. "He's doing something with grandpa."
"Hmph," she grumbled. "Can you drop me off? I hate taking the bus!"
"I can't. But I'll pick you up after school. I promise!" I said, kissing her forehead.
"What about Auntie Sakura? Uncle Naruto? Uncle Lee? Anyone?" she pleaded.
"No. And that's final. Here's your lunch." I gave her the pink lunch box and sent her on her way.
As I was about to close the door, I heard someone calling my name.
"Hi Y/n!" they said.
I poked my head out a little more to see a very pregnant Sakura leaving Sasuke's apartment.
"Hey, Sakura. How are you feeling?" I asked.
"Tired. I'm on my way to the doctor. We're gonna find out the sex of the baby today!" she squealed.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so excited for you guys!" I truthfully said.
"I'm excited too!" she smiled. "I'll see you later!"
"Mmm. Bye," I said, waving and closing the door.
I heard a wailing cry come from Neji and I's room.
"Mommy's coming," I said, running into the bedroom.
As I walked in, I saw our baby girl gripping the sides of the crib, desperately looking around for someone. I smiled brightly upon seeing her and picked her up in an instant.
"Hi Shukumei," I whispered, lightly tapping her nose.
She let out a soft coo.
"Are you hungry?" I asked, knowing my 7-month-old couldn't respond.
As I was heating her milk, there was a knock at the door.
"Coming!" I said, picking up Shukumei and heading toward the door.
I opened the door, greeted by bright blue eyes and blonde hair.
"Hi, Y/n!" Naruto shouted.
"Hello Naruto," I smiled. "Hi, Boruto."
"Hi," the two-year-old quietly said from behind his dad.
"Where are you two headed?" I asked.
"The park. I was wondering if you and baby Mei wanted to come," he offered.
