Xavier's P.O.V
I unlock the door to by penthouse and walk inside.
"Xav? Is that you?" my mother's voice shouts.
"Yea!" I shout throwing my suit jacket off onto the floor. I stalk to the edge of the sofa and flop face first into the cushions.
Ugh.
I hear my mother's footsteps again, "Okay I'm leaving Xav, foods in the-really?" She says.
I deeply sigh with my face still stuffed in the cushions.
"I feel sorry for your future wife. A piggy CEO. Best combination, huh?" She says sarcastically. And then adds a "bye, Hun" and makes her way out.
The words "wife" rang many bells in my head. I was 26 and I charge of a world known business. No girlfriends whatsoever. Just strictly business.
It gets a bit dull from time to time, but It's all worth it.
I reach for my phone in my suit jacket pocket and as I pull it out a white folded paper falls with it.
I sit up straight and unravel the paper and found my self grinning from ear to ear.,
Sophia's number.
I never fully believed in love at first sight. But I do believe you can be completely infatuated with someone when you first meet them.
Sophia was the definition of that. It's something that draws me to her timid yet bold personality.
Or many it was her big cocoa brown eyes and chubby cheeks. Or her long brown hair that flowed past her waste that was covered nicely with that white flowing sun dress that caught all her smooth curves along her short figure.
She was beautiful. She had something hidden. At first I automatically thought she would hold it in and keep up and stone wall.
But when she sat vulnerably in my guest chair, I knew she was just in that predicament.
How the glint in her eyes changed from happiness to excitement to broken, I knew where her heart was located.
I'm not calling it love, but I want to help her in a way. Heck, I barely know her. But something's pushing me to not let be just another face.
So that's why I pull out my the next morning and text her:
Good Morning, Beautiful Sophia x
