You tried another key on the piano, trying to find a note that would work with the last bar you'd written.
In frustration you dropped your hands down on the keys, making a rather loud noise. You had one day left to finish writing this piece and hand it into your college professor. So far you only had a page and a half done and the minimum was three...
As the ringing on the strings continued you felt the presence of another person appear in the room. The small bench you were perched on in your sitting room in front of the piano sank down as the other figure sat down beside you.
You looked over to see Ryan, smiling back at you.
"Stop smiling I'm in a bad mood" you mumbled, straightening out the sheets. He took them out of your hand gently without saying a word and set them down in front of himself before beginning to play the piece.
Is there anything he couldn't do? You didn't think so. Guitar, singing being funny and now playing piano also.
Of course he played it beautifully and once he reached the end of what you'd written, he went on hesitantly pushing down another key, then another. You grabbed a pen quickly, and began jotting down the notes he was playing.
"It's a really nice piece" he stated, reading through the sheets you'd already finalised.
"Only cos you wrote it" you smiled, pulling a piece of loose hair back behind you ear.
"I only finished it, plus I rewrote half the verses as repeats" he smirked.
"Play it again" you asked, looking at him hopefully. He laughed silently before pushing down the first key to start the music.
The look of concentration on his face as he played through it, perfecting each chord beautifully and his head bobbing forward and back to the timing. He was smiling when he got to the end of it.
"We could probably use it for ourselves" he grinned before going to imitate a news reporter. "hometowns latest single, written by the lovely Havanna herself"
Your cheeks heated up as you smirked at him, raising your eyebrows. "well you'll need to get to work on those lyrics then won't you". He laughed, and gave you a slight nudge.
He reached over to take the rest of your crumpled up pieces of paper, music you though was rubbish to uncover your book of finished pieces. He flicked through them quickly, finding your personal favourite. A copy of Fireproof, slightly different but accurate enough even though you'd changed the instrument.
He set it down in front of you, and pointed at the piano, indicating for you to play. You laughed, letting out a sigh before starting to play the music.
Of course after the first four bars Ryan joined in singing. Of course he was amazing, perfecting each note. When he finished the chorus you joined in with him harmonising his notes.
'Cos nobody knows you baby the way I do,
And nobody sees you baby the way I do
It's been so long, it's been so long
We must be fire proof
Cos nobody loves you baby the way I do'He grinned over at you when you finished. "fabulous as always" he chuckled, before switching the song on again, this time on his phone. He hopped off the bench and walked to the centre of the room, before turning around and holding his hand out.
"Can I have a dance then?" He smirked. You only grinned, taking his hand in your own and standing up too. He began waltzing you around the sitting room, one hand holding out your arm the other on your waist, and your other on his shoulder.
You were constantly throwing your head forward on laughter as he tripped over the edge of the carpet or the foot of your sofa. Clumsy thing he was.
He span you round once before losing the polite ballroom dancing and lifting you up to spin you around the room.
You laughed again, both hands on his shoulders as he jumped around you still in the air"Are you in a bad mood still?" He asked, placing you back on the floor gently.
"No I'm in a much much better mood" you smirked, hands still on his shoulders. His face was dangerously close to your own, lips just inches apart.
But the space was closed off as soon as he'd replied. "good, then I can do this", and he pressed his own onto yours.
Your hands slipped from his shoulders, slinking around his neck as his grip around your waist tightened. Your eyes were closed and it didn't matter how many times he'd kiss you, you'd still get butterflies in your tummy.
"You know you can do that when I'm in a bad mood too" you smirked when he pulled away, "in fact it might even make me feel better"
"Right, well unless your so angry that I can't even step near you-"
"That doesn't happen" you interrupted, scrunching up your nose
"If- I can't step Near you, then I won't kiss you. But any other time-?"
"You will" you finished, pecking him once again.
