The way Minecraft processes data tags Is fairly simple yet complicated at the same time. First Minecraft tells if it is a compond data tag or a list tag. A compounds tag has brackets around it {data tag} What Minecraft does is it first is it checks If the specified tag name (example: {inGround:1b} also this is for /testfor and this is why it is not totally capitalize.). If it is valid for the command and what the command is doing it will check what the solution is, {CustomName:"Super Zombie"}, if it is valid it will take that and for the example summom a mob named Super Zombie. Sometimes it will just ignore the entire tag. If you put it in a the command into a command block there is a chance it will tell you what is wrong with the tag in the previous output. Then you will be able to change and correct it.
