I walk into the Slytherin common room surprised at how busy it is considering it's a Tuesday evening.
I wonder if you're in here, I hope so.
I look around the large space, the green glow of the Black Lake painting everyone a green sheen.
But I cannot see you, unfortunately.
I see Olive instead, her dark hair, now a gloomy green, shielding the book in her hands as she reads.
I drop onto the seat next to her which causes her to jump, lifting her head up to me, Oh Merlin Ivy, I nearly fell off my chair.
My eyes instantly move from her face to her neck where lays a violet-red blotch the size of someone's mouth. My eyes widen and my smile grows to the edges of my face and I nearly squeal as I gasp, You got off with someone?
Shh, you don't need to tell everyone! She whisper-shouts back at me. Her eyes wander to the people semi-near us and then back to mine but not directly centre, slightly off.
Who was it? Tell me everything, I smile a smile you'd say was too sweet as I grip her hands now empty of the book.
She laughs nervously and then swallows. You don't want to know the details, it gets a bit vulgar.
Oh, Olive, I don't care how vulgar it gets. You should see the things Tom and I get up to.
She flinches at my words but I just laugh it off- probably quite improper for me to say in such a public setting but I don't mind. I am truly elated for her. She deserves to know the feeling of love, perhaps then she'll realise how true our love is.
She swallows again, blinking quickly as if she is trying to remember their touch, their voice, their love like I did when I first fell in love with you.
I can't really explain it, she finally speaks with a small smile on her mouth, biting a tiny piece of skin from her bottom lip.
Love is an extraordinary feeling. It devours your soul all at once and when you least expect it to. It can be messy but it can be perfect- it is perfect. It's like one of those abstract art pieces. Chaotic but beautiful. Something you can't ever take your eyes off of because it's everything you have ever desired, everything you could ever ask for just resting in your heart- holding it together. And I'm so happy you get to experience it.
She smiles back at me and I pull her into a hug, my arms slightly stinging from where you've pressed too hard but I have learnt to try and ignore it because our love is a masterpiece.
Chaotic but beautiful.
