Flandre: "Let's go to the beach!"

Remilia & Kazuma: "..."

Remilia proceeds to pinch Flan-chan's cheeks

Flandre: "Owie!! Onee-shama, shtop i' huwt"

Remilia: "Next time please let your brain process the sentence before saying out loud"

Flandre: "B-but, I'm sheriosh"

Remilia: "Did you forget that vampires can't stand sunlights and flowing water!? If you want to commit suicide then don't drag me down with you!"

Kazuma: "Alright alright, settle down. Let's hear Flan-chan's reasoning first, where did the beach idea comes from?"

Flandre: "*brush Remilia's hands off her face* It's from this magazine! It says going to the beach is where the most fun in summer you can find! I wanna go there with everyone to have fun together!"

Remilia: "*grabs magazine* Summer is a nuisance. It's hot and the air feels heavy, not to mention the amount of sunlight every day and I can't see the fun of going to a place where you expose yourself to sunlight and flowing water *looks at magazine* it... actually looks quite nice..."

Remilia flips through the magazine, switch from an annoyed face into a curious one

Remilia: "T-this actually looks fun... beach volleyball... sand castle...looks fun...but we can't! Going to the beach is suicide for vampires!"

Flandre: "Can't we just use the sunscreen? It worked last time"

Remilia: "But still, if we exposing ourselves under the sun for a long period of time, the sun ray might not kill us, but the heat will definitely knock us out!"

Flandre: "But Onee-sama doesn't have to stay under the sun all the time, look at this! We can lie under the umbrella, it's very relaxing it says!"

Remilia: "I... can't deny that it looks very comfortable..."

Flandre: "Come on Onee-sama. Onii-chan, say something too!"

Kazuma: "I think it's a good idea, I haven't been to the beach this summer anyway. The beach is gonna be fun, but it's also important to be safe. I guess it's fine as long as you put sunscreen on"

Flandre: "Onii-chan is on my side today, what do you say Onee-sama?"

Remilia: "Mm... fine, since Yuki also want to go, let's go to the beach and have fun then!"

Meiling: "Oh? Are we going on a trip?"

Sakuya: "Are we going somewhere, Ojou-sama?"

Sakuya and Meiling walks into the room after hearing our cheering

Remilia: "Great timing! We are going to the beach!"

Meiling: "Beach eh? I haven't been to one ever since we arrive Gensokyo. Swimming at the beach is going to be great!"

Sakuya: "But Ojou-sama and Flan-sama can't go near flowing water. Sun light probably won't be a problem since we have the sunscreen, but that means Ojou-sama and Flan-sama can't swim"

Kazuma: "Yeah... swimming is also one of the best part at beach"

Remilia: "The Queen of the Night and her little sister's fun won't be stopped by this puny little weakness. We will find a way to swim at the beach!"

Author: Let me give y'all some context if you're not familiar of this vampire's weakness, feel free to skip this if you already know. Water has been used to repel unclean and unholy beings such as diseases and undead (allegedly) as it is the source of life. To maximise its effectiveness, the water must pure and flowing as clean flowing water can wash away the unclean and not harbour diseases from mosquitoes, mold and other vermin. Hence, flowing water is being considered as holy and undead monsters' weakness. Sea water in this case might not as effective as clean flowing water as it is not pure, but it still has enough holy power to repel high class vampires like Remilia and Flandre. The holy power of sea/other flowing water might vary in different stories or folklores, but that's the general principle of it. Continue...
