Prologue

Kazuma Pov

*Car engine sound*

I look outside the window, enjoying the view of trees flying pass, the sun light shines through the spaces between the leaves.

A good moment for daydreaming, at least for now

The muffled cecada noises can barely be heard through the window.

You rarely see this amount of nature in the urban area.

The light green colour of the trees and the distant field reminds me of grandpa's place.

I remember when mom and dad took me there when I was little, back when grandpa was still there...

??: "You live around here kid?"

Kazuma: "eh?"

The voice broke my daydreaming, snapping back to reality

Kazuma: "oh, uhm yeah. I just moved"

Taxi Driver: "This is a nice place, though the traffic is a bit inconvenient. Muddy roads, wild animals and not even a decent public transport"

I nodded lightly and look outside again, the road is surrounded by lane of trees and forest. No sign of any light poles nor bus stops

Taxi Driver: "And your family? Are they moving with you"

Kazuma: "N-no, just me..."

Taxi Driver: "Just you? Wow... I can't imagine myself living in one of those houses alone. Not to mention the price."

That's right, just me.

My parents decided to go on the longest honeymoon ever and probably won't come back for quite a while. So they decided to move me into their old house on the hill so they don't have to pay the rent for the one we used to live in.

The taxi slowed down and parked right in front of a old Japanese style house

Taxi Driver: "That will be 5000 yen"

I handed the cash to the taxi driver and get out.

The heat outside is hellish, wish I could've stayed in the taxi longer

I head to the main door with a sign written "Yuki" next to it.

Heading inside, completely unexpected. It's clean... I thought this house is old but it's cleaner than I thought. No sign of dusts, walls and floors are very well intact-

*crack*

...

I take it back, this is an old house afterall.

My feet just stepped through and cracked a big hole on the floor. Luckily, I wasn't hurt or anything.

Well, I guess I should start unpacking stuff.

Kazuma: "SCARLET INVADE!"

I head to the door and see who is it

*Open door*

??1: "Yo Kazuma"
