King of Ice

It wasn't hard to change my song it took me just a bit of running around and I also changed my costume and when it all was done, I was left a bit out of breath but I still had a couple of minutes before everything would start and tried to fix my hair and make up as well as get this routine in my head. 

I knew this was a dangerous play but it was either take it or go home and I was sure to take everything. King of Ice belong to my family and I wanted to show the world who they had in front of them. This was my families place. We belonged on the ice and on the stage and I was sure to announce it world wide in this finals.

Announcement: Change of performance. We got the notification that Yuri Katsuki who represents Japan and would have performed Eros will now perform a complete new Routine called King of Ice! Let's see if this will turn out good!

Deep breath!

I know I can do it!

There is nothing to be afraid off!

I know it!

The moment my performance was announced I went ont he stage and I could hear a lot of people talking and everything. My costume didn't looked flashy or anything at all since it was just the beginning.

Once the music started I started to move acording to the routine. It was a rather fast paced one and if you don't have the stamina nor precision for it you would ultimatively fail on it but I knew I could do it. I knew I had it in me and so I just gave it a go.

King of Ice was the story of a lost and fallen king who once was shunt by everyone and despite what everyone tells him, he never gives up and fights for his thone and place.

Announcement: A toe loop followed by a salchow and a flip and he nailed it all without fail with such a speed and elegence!

The next sequnce was telling the tails of battle the king had to perform and the hardship he faced until he got the position of crown prince. That was the moment I did a luth and made my costume change in the air! The moment I landed the whole stadium errupted into applause and screames of exitement. 

Announcement: LOOK AT THIS! I HAVEN'T SEEN THIS IN AGES! THIS LOOKS ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THE PERFORMANCE 50 years AGO CALLED QUEEN OF ICE WHICH WENT DOWN IN HISTORY UNBEAT!

What now followed was the story about the king who died and the crown prince who took over the kingdom making it prosper and into a place for everyone to be happy. It was the end of the performance and by that time I was starting to get out of breath. 

Everything ended with one jump and a position that looked like a King who was graping the sun- no- being the sun and the light for it's kingdom. The story and the performance was unique and it was definitelly one of the hardest things to skate.

Announcement: ....

There was once again a moment everything was quiete before the announcer started speaking and that was when everyone started clapping and screaming. If I thought the ice castle back then was something then I was wrong. If I compared it with what just happened then it was nothing.

Announcement: This was King of Ice and it certainly looked as if a new king was born! 

I went of the stage after bowing and was about to receive my final score. Of course the news were already there and asking me for everything.

News: Who is the coreographer for the routine.

Me: That's a secret.

News: Look Look! Look at his overall highscore!

News 2: Oh my god! This is a perfect score in everywhere!

News 3: This is something that wasn't seen after 50 years. No one scored this high after the performance of Queen of Ice.

I was proud of it and I knew that Vikotr and my mother would be too. I did my best and I kenw I won the hearts of everyone there. Besides beating this score would be quite difficult since I had the best one ever.

As expected at the end of the day it was me who won the gold medal and performed the whole routine again but this time I was better because this time I had it down in my blood. I knew the turns and the feeling of it and I liked it. It felt better than performing Eros which I thought was lacking. This was the one I was destined to perform and I knew it.
