To say the least, you didn't get much sleep that night. Tossing and turning the entire time, with the words 'I love you' replaying in your head over and over again.

"I really hope he isn't lying."

...

Waking up from about an hour or two of sleep, you reluctantly got ready for work. You had an awful headache, but for a very good reason. What Tenya had said to you last night, made you overthink and worry.

You genuinely really liked him, but you were too scared to just ask him if he was being direct with you or if it was some sick joke after all. But you being the person you are, refused to contact him in some sort of effort not to shatter your feelings if things went badly.

After getting dressed and ready for work, you grabbed your phone and essentials. Noticing you had a few normal texts from Tenya, saying good morning, asking how you slept, etc.

You ignored them, afraid of what he might say. Although being fairly confident in yourself, you couldn't help but compare your accomplishments to his. "It feels almost wrong...wanting to accept that he likes me feels like a joke. Goddamnit- I have so much to offer but...this just feels so fake."

Pushing your thoughts aside, you left to get your morning breakfast from Lorelei's. As much as you loved to tell her every detail of what was going on in your life, you couldn't find it in you to do it today. Ultimately deciding to keep this to yourself.

Arriving at the same doors of the coffee shop you so frequently visited, like always, you were welcomed with the smell of coffee. Behind the counter, Lor's familiar face taking orders and her sister's face preparing those orders.

Smiling to yourself as you read over the wall menu, you happened to catch someones eyes. Someone who was supposed to be training, but was seated where you both usually resided.

Waiting in line you watched Lorelei's sister prepare orders to pass the time, not wanting to look at the messages you knew you were receiving. Only to be awoken from your daydream by someone lightly placing their hand on your shoulder.

You jumped slightly and turned around, ready to deal with this person as nicely as you possibly could. Well, you would have done it nicely if the person wasn't the one you were so desperately trying to avoid.

"Hello (Y/n)..." He smiled at you so nicely that it almost shattered you. He was perfect in every way, but your whole body froze. Almost like you were entranced by his presence.

"Tenya...why's he here..?

No nono no no...

Why'd he have to show up- ?

I'm just trying to go to work..

He's just messing with you.

His words don't mean anything to you.
