My third son with his whole family came with food for my lunch despidida. But as soon as I got out of the house and was comfortably seated beside the driver's seat I did not feel strong enough to get out of the car. So my second son ate lunch with them before taking me home with him. I had to say goodbye to my first great granddaughter who was a lovable, talkative toddler.

The trip to my new home took longer than expected. My back could hardly hold up my body as I slumped on my seat. Even though I did not eat my lunch I felt like vomiting, my son had to stop the car to get a plastic bag at the back.

As soon as we reached their house my son led me to my waiting bed. His wife and their housemaid welcomed me with food, but I was too tired and sleepy to eat. The family was also taking care of my only daughter after her brain operations and radiation therapy. I knew I was going to stay for only a short time as I refused to see a doctor. I did not want to spend years under medication unable to think intelligently.
