Razor grabbed Bennett's hand, dragging him along behind him in the field of flowers. The boy laughed, smiling at Bennett. The air was warm around them, butterflies fluttering from flower to flower. The bright sun illuminated Razor's red eyes, making them shine like rubies in the light. He suddenly fell on the ground, pulling Bennett down with him. Bennett tumbled after him, ending up on top of Razor, his hands on either side of his head, his legs on either side of his hips. Razor looked up at Bennett, a slight blush coming to his soft cheeks. Bennett froze, not sure what to do. The wolf boy raised his hand up to Bennett's cheek, pulling his face closer to his own. The blond boy closed his eyes, leaning closer to his face.

Before they could kiss, a crevice formed in the ground, making them jump off of each other. The break grew to around six feet wide in seconds, making it nearly impossible for them to jump across to the other. The length of the crack kept stretching on either side at an unimaginable speed, not allowing them to run to the other side to each other, either.

"Razor!" Bennett called out, reaching his hand out in an attempt to grab hold of the other boy. "Please!" tears swelled in his eyes as Razor grew farther apart from him. Razor tilted his head to the side, a confused look on his face. Did he not know what was going on? The crack grew wider and wider, to the point where if he attempted to grab Razor, he would plummet to the bottom of the abyss.

The ground shook beneath Razor's feet, throwing him off balance. He stumbled, deathly close to the edge. "Razor! Hang on!" Bennett screamed as the other boy looked at him, panic filling his pretty eyes. Razor lost his full balance, slipping off the edge, tears streaming down their faces. "No!! No!" Bennett screamed, feeling his vocal cords practically tearing from the strain.

Bennett watched in terror as he saw his best friend slip completely off the edge, aimlessly grabbing at the rough rocks around him. Bennett knelt over the edge, completely frozen as Razor screamed while he was falling, the endless darkness swallowing him up mercilessly.

"NOO!! NOO!! Razor!!" Bennett screamed with all his might, his voice getting scratchy and breaking as his vocal cords failed him, tears relentlessly falling down his face and onto the now dry earth beneath him. He sobbed, falling onto his stomach, his arm hanging into the abyss. "No..." he cried. "Why... why?? WHY??" his screams echoed down into the hole, the same hole that took his best friend from him. He was sobbing so hard that he started gagging, his stomach begging him to control himself, or he might throw up his insides.

"Razor..." he panted, gasping for air, his throat screaming at him to stop talking. "Razor!!"

Bennett shot up in his bed, a cold sweat drenching his body. It was just a dream. He was safe in his bed. Just a dream, he reassured himself. He laid back down, staring up at the ceiling of his small room.

How the fuck did he get back to his bed from last night? He figured one of his dads had come and picked the three of them up and brought them back home some time in the early morning.

That reminded him.

Four more days.

He turned to his side, his elbow folded underneath his head on the pillow. Ever since last night, he couldn't get his mind off of Razor. He thought back to how soft the boy's skin looked under the moon, the light of the night sky making his tan skin glow. The way his silver hair shined in the glow of the stars, making it seem like his hair was was a river flowing down his back and onto the dark green grass underneath them. He realized that any memory of his dream he had just woken up from had slipped out of his brain. He guessed it was for the better.
