Bennett woke up to Razor snoring right into his ear. The blond boy was laying on his back, the silver haired boy sprawled across him, his leg going across his body, his face next to Bennett's ear. The snoring sounded like deep growling. Bennett gingerly pushed Razor's leg and arms off of him, gently shifting his body back onto the blankets. He brushed stray hair out of his lover's face and tucked it behind his ear. He gave the boy a soft kiss on the cheek. His face was so soft... Bennett couldn't wait to see his face when he confessed to him.

Today.

Today is the day.

He's going to confess his love for the boy of his dreams.

Today is the day he dies.

Bennett's stomach dropped when he thought of it, his throat tightening. He brushed it off and had to think of the positive side of this. Before he dies, he'll be able to finally tell Razor how he feels, and he'll die happy. He stood up and slipped on his shoes, quietly said good bye to Klee, and headed out the door. He decided to stop before his house before starting the adventure just to get supplies.

Once he was ready, he started off to the mountain, looking back at the big gates of Mondstadt. The sun was starting to rise, casting the world in a breath-taking golden glaze. He walked past the big tree in Windrise and soon reached the trail head to Dragonspine. Bennett took a deep breath in, exhaling as he stepped into the snow. He immediately started to shiver, realizing that he forgot his coat.

Now... where to find the flowers. Bennett remembered reading they grew near the peak of Dragonspine, so he started up the mountain. After a while of hiking in the cold, he came across Albedo's hideout. Albedo wasn't there, so he decided to take a break there and warm up a bit.

After about 5 minutes, he continued on his trek. It was steeper, and much, much colder than he had anticipated. He was almost a third up the mountain when the sun reached about halfway til its peak. After a few more minutes of walking, he found a patch of helebrose blooming under a snowy tree.

"Perfect!" Bennett said out loud, covering his mouth after he realized he didn't just think it. He went and used his sword to gently snip off some of the helebrose heads, holding them in his fist. He was smiling non stop as he was ready to confess to Razor.

He turned back around just to see a Cryo abyss mage standing right in front of him. Bennett got surprised and stumbled back, hitting the tree trunk as he fell. His back hurt, but he had to get up. Bennett got back on his feet and pulled his sword out from his belt, infusing it with Pyro. The mage attacked first, sending an icicle right for his heart. He managed to dodge it, the snow making it hard to jump and run. The icicle sliced through his right arm, leaving a pretty deep gash on his bicep. He gasped and clutched the wound with his left hand, trying his best not to get blood on the flowers. The mage used this moment of weakness to strike again, this time getting his right leg, making him fall to the ground. He screamed out in pain, hoping maybe someone would hear him.

Red hot pain shot up his leg. Bennett looked down at the wound. It was a perfect circle right through the flesh, just missing the bone. Frostbite was already creeping into the crimson wound, turning parts of the skin an evil black. Tears rolled down his face. He needed to get up and get back to Mondstadt. He started crawling with his two arms and good leg, making an effort to escape, but his efforts were futile. He couldn't run, but maybe he can still fight.

He turned onto his stomach, infusing Pyro into his sword, waiting for the mage to teleport beside him. Once it did, Bennett started slicing at the shield, slowly melting it away. But before the mage fell to the ground, it managed to shoot another icicle in his stomach. He screamed at the pain, screaming for anybody and nobody at the same time. The pure agony was pushed back from temporary adrenaline and forced Bennett forward, managing to melt the mage's shield, then started to slice at the mage's body. With the last of his strength, he sliced off it's head, blood dying the white snow a dark ruby red. He didn't know if it was his blood or the mage's.

Bennett dropped his sword and collapsed onto his back. The adrenaline rush succeeded, leaving him writhing in the snow from pain. His vision was going black.

"No..." he whispered. "No!! No!! Please no!! Please..." he violently sobbed into the cold snow as his past came flooding back to him.

Memories of being adopted by his dads, training with Captain Kaeya, studying in the library with Lisa, signing up for the Adventurer's Guild with Fischl, meeting Razor, meeting the Traveler, the Windbloom dance, feeling Razor in his arms...

Razor. This morning was the last time he could see him. It wasn't supposed to end like this. No, no. He was supposed to give the flowers to Razor in front of the city fountain, telling him how in love with him he is, being happy and peacefully dying surrounded by his loved ones... it wasn't supposed to end like this. Alone, cold, bleeding, frostbitten, unfinished actions...

"Razor... I love you..." he whispered as he used the last of his strength to squeeze the helebrose in his hand, feeling himself slip out of consciousness. Everything went black as his body went limp, his mind numb.

Just my like, huh. He thought to himself as his life slipped away and into the cold air, leaving a bloody and frozen body covered in snow, and a boy back home wondering where his lover is.
