I was sitting on the couch listening to a heartbeat enter the room, when it got close enough I could tell it was my love, Loki.
"Hello Love," I said as he sat on the couch.
"Hello darling, how are you today?" Loki asked me.
"Still blind if that's what you're asking," I said knowing full well that's not what he was talking about.
He chuckled as he sat up facing me, I copied his movements. "Yes babe," I asked wondering why he was facing me.
"Here, let me help you see,"
"No, that terrifies you,"
"Please, I want to do this for you," He said reaching his hands out. I grabbed his hands stopping them from reaching my face.
I kissed his knuckles, "Are you sure, Love?"
"Yes, love," He said quickly pausing in his movement.
"Ok," I respond allowing his hands to make their way to my temples. Once his fingers touched my skin I closed my eyes feeling the respective electrical shock. When I opened my eyes again I could see, I watch as Loki's eyes turn white as snow like mine when I can't see. I see the sunshine through the windows.
"How long does this last again," I ask admiring what he looks like.
"Should last five minutes," He responds, bringing his shaky hands down to his lap.
"Ok, can I leave for a little bit?" I ask cupping his face with my hands. He shakes his head, whilst looking down. "Ok," I say nodding.
"I'm sorry,"
"Hey, no need to be sorry," I say looking at the sunshine. "Come on, you guide me around how hard can it be,"
I heard him chuckle as I bring him to the window. As I looked out onto the city, my vision started to blur and fade out back into the darkness I am used to. I mentally cry out and yearn for more. As my vision escapes, I hear Loki letting a breath escape his lips.
I turn and rest my hand on his cheek cheerful that I got to see the city one more time. But my excitement was cut short when I felt a tear fall down Loki's face.
"Love, are you ok," I said with concern laced in my voice.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't go any longer," I immediately hug him.
"Hey hey, it's ok," I say comforting him as much as I could. I ran my hands through his black silky straight hair. "Do you want to go to the park?" I asked while holding Loki at arm's length.
"Sure," He answered with a chuckle.
"Ok, but you'll have to guide me, I'm not bringing my cane,"
"How hard can it be," He quoted what I had said earlier to him.
