Soon enough was enough. Both Alfred and Damian were sick and tired of the abuse, so they came up with a solution: Damian was going to run away and go back to his mother.
Talia had never been cruel to Damian, she had actually shown him what it was like to be loved. Everyone had just assumed that she didn’t, but it hurt Damian too much to talk about it, so he never said anything. Only Alfred knew the truth.
The reason Talia had left him with Bruce was because she thought that they would be happy together and that Bruce would give Damian a better life than what she could.
She did it for his happiness knowing it would tear her apart.
The two had spent the next few months devising and putting their plan into action. It had taken four months of planning but finally Damian was going to be escaping, unfortunately Alfred wasn't going but Damian was bringing Titus and Alfred the cat.
Thankfully though Alfred and Damian would still be able to talk due to a special phone Alfred had gotten for him.
Their plan would start a little after midnight, when Bruce was away on patrol. After Bruce had left Alfred would drive Damian and his things to the helicopter pad where he would take a helicopter to Arabia and from there, he is to go to the league of assassins' base and find his mother.
