A New Beginning (Keeper Of The Lost Cities)

Chapter 13

Willow's Pov

As we shuffle in to the tribunal hall, it goes almost quiet. The only thing you hear are whispers.

"Are those the Fosters, Vackers, and the Redeks?"

"Is that the boy who used to be on the Neverseen?"

"I heard that they trust him now!"

"Why would anyone trust a former Neverseen member?"

When the last statement was said I saw Keefe and Tam lower their heads. In the front, we see Linh wave her hand so we all walk towards her family.

"Hi!" Amber said. 

"Amber, what did we say about screaming?" Wylie said.

"Sorry." Amber responds. Linh then comes to see me and she gives me a hug.

"Hi sweetheart. How are you doing?"

"Oh I'm ok aunt Linh."

"That's good. How about we go sit down?"

"That sounds fantastique! My feet are killing me!" Astro says sitting down on a bench. 

"Hey Willow, I saved you a seat!" Onyx says. 

"Oh, thanks Onyx!" I reply, as I go to sit beside him. Maddison sits on my other side.

Maddi looks over at me with a grin. I roll my eyes and turn to the counsillors trowns. Each one representing a colour of the gem on there crown. The tribunal hall is still really quiet, so you hear Finlin pretty well when he asks Dex:

"Is this thing going to start soon?" 

"Yeah buddy, really soon." Dex bearly has time to finish his sentence when all counsillors glitter into view. (We kind of forget exacly how a tribunal works so just go with it)

"Bring in the accused." Cousillor Emery says. Then, 4 gards came in with Pollux, who had stayed behind when they arrived. When Pollux is right in front of the counsillors, Counsillor Emery says:

"State your name."

"Pollux Ashton Danion."

"Do you know why your here?"

"I was working with the Neverseen." he replise simply. 

"I see you used the word was."

"Yes I WAS working with the Neverseen. Like I said before. I'am not with them anynmore. AND I prooved it my rescuing Willow and not escaping when I could have easily done it." 

"Yes we've heard your side of the story already but you did espace our prison."

"Eh. It's not like I went far. I just went to cheque on Willow. It also really stunk in that jail and it also permeted Sophie and Fitz to cheque my head. Like 10 times. And they didn't find anything suspisious."

"You went trough his head?" Emery said looking at Sophie and Fitz.

"Yeah we did and like he said, we didn't find anything. And we looked for a really long time." Sophie responds.

"It dosn't mean we trust him though. It could be the same situation as Alvar." Fitz says.

"How though? He still remembers the Neverseen and everything." Biana says. The room then went silent. 

"If I may come in, they could have still erased his memories but kept some of them so it dosen't look suspisious."  Magnate Leto states. 

"I have to agree with Magnate Leto." Councillor Zarina says. "We never know what they could have erased from his mind."
