"Hello? Is anyone there?" I half way yell out.
Ugh this is so frustrating. I look down and my jaw shots straight down. My clothes look like I got attacked by a bear or something! What is this!? My T-shirt is in shreds at the hem and my pants are now kapri's. I want to just break down and cry but I can't.
*snap, snap*
I start to walk over to the direction of where the sound is coming from. It's a little dark now.
I see something flash in front of me.
"H- Hello? P-Please don't H-Hurt me." Why am I stuttering? "Please show yourself! No, Show yourself!"
I'm going to stand up for myself. I start to walk north again and try to find a human life form or at least water. There are tons of thorns everywhere. I've probably been stabbed at least 10 times, but I have to keep going.
*leaves rustle*
I turn around. There is a man right behind me. Literally like a foot away from me. He is very muscular, he has short light brown hair probably around 6 foot tall.
"Who are you? Are you the one that has been following me around? Why are you following me?" I ask him in a confident voice even though I'm very scared.
"Hello, my name is Daniel and I'm am 18 years old. How about you?"
"My name is Audrey and I'm 16 years old and answer my questions please!" I say with a pushy voice.
"Ah yes your questions." He says circling around me. "Like i said my name is Daniel and I am 18 years old. Yes, I have been following you around. I was following you around because I always take a walk through these woods everyday after my dinner and then I saw you. You were lying there, I mean I don't usually see a girl lying in the middle of the forest. So I tried waking you up but you didn't budge. I didn't want to leave you because what if a bear like came and ate you? So I climbed up a tree and sat there for around an hour then you woke up. You looked drunk there for a minute. I waited till you stood up then quietly got down but then accidentally stepped on a stick. Then you freaked out. You know the rest. But I don't know how you got there. So here we are."
"Ok I guess I should say thank you. So thank you. Also would you mind leading me back to civilization so I can get some new clothes? Wait I don't have any money." I say sadly.
"It's ok I still live at my parents house and I'm sure they can provide you a warm bed, shower, and would my mom would love to buy you some new clothes. She has never had a daughter, she has three boys. Christopher my older brother, me, and Logan my younger brother. Do you have any siblings?"
"I don't know." I say as we start walking.
"What do you mean?"
"I can't remember anything besides my name and age." I explain.
"That's weird. Well anyways lets get you home and meanwhile I will tell you about my family so they aren't complete strangers."
"Ok thank you again."
"Oh no problem."
We go south in the opposite direction of where I was going and head on our way. I really don't know what to think, should I be cautious or should I trust him?
"My mom's name is Rita, she is very, um lets just say bubbly and likes hugs she is 41 years old, my dad's name is Tim he is 42, then there are my brothers. My older brother Christopher is 22 he moved out with his wife, they're coming to visit this weekend actually. Am I boring you?"
"Oh no! Your fine, I'm listening go on, please go on!" I say as I look up. He is looking at me. What do I do? I don't want to be awkward so I smile and put my head back down towards the dirt path.
"Anyways after Christopher is me, my name is Daniel and I am 18 and I am not married nor am I dating anyone, so that's me. Next is Logan. Oh boy. So he's only 14 years old. We are all four years apart and my sister-in-law is 20. That's it.
"Thank you."
"No problem!"
It's dark now and I have no clue where we are going. Oh well I just hope they'll like me.
DANIEL'S P.O.V:
It's dark, I'm trying to get home as fast as possible.
*twig breaks*
"What was that?" Audrey asks. She is now holding on to my upper arm. "Oh sorry." She lets go.
"Your fine." I say and smile at her. " it was probably a rabbit or something, let's keep going we are almost there." I try to comfort her.
"Ok, if you say so." I can see she's scared. We keep going and it is silent for a little while.
*snap, snap*
She quickly grabs my upper arm again a pulls herself towards me with her head against my shoulder. She feels warm or maybe it's a warmness rushing up my spine. Focus Daniel! Focus! A coyote jumps out of the bushes! What!?
"What do we do?" Audrey asks.
"Do not run." I've been attacked before on my walk.
I put my hands on Audrey's shoulders and say,
"Stand here. It's ok I've done this before."
I put her over by a tree. I feel bad for her she looks so scared, her poor body is shaking.
I take my walking stick and use it as a weapon. The coyote is mocking me by coming towards me but not doing anything. I stand still. It doesn't look bad, it doesn't even seem it wants to hurt me. I step a little closer but not to close.
I look behind me to see Audrey. She has a questionable look. I turn back to the coyote and see him charging at me. I've is about to jump on me when I put my stick up to where the stick is in his mouth. I hear Audrey shriek. The coyote has pinned me down. I put my feet by his pelvis and flip him over me. He reaches to grab hold of me but he gets hold of my shoulder and grabs my flesh.
"AAHH!!" I scream as loud as I possibly can. The pain!
"Daniel!" Audrey screams.
