(Y/N)'s POV

FLASHBACK...
TWO YEARS AGO.....

The cracking of fire can be heard as screams echo and heavy running surrounds me.
"Come on, we need to get all the humans" a demon spoke to me but I said nothing as I safely held a nearly dying new born baby.

The golden lining around it's souls, glows brightly, it's tempting me to feed but I can't.
This child didn't deserve this end, it was so innocent, so pure.
"Well what are you waiting for? Feed off it's soul!" A voice commanded me but I couldn't.

The human baby took its last breath and somehow my dead heart broke for the baby with my free hand, I slowly dig a hole for the baby, it was big and wide enough for the child.
I gently lay the child in the hole and cover it.

"What are you doing?" A voice stated with a snarl.
I said nothing but got up and turned to the direction of the voice, to see a demon.

His black bat wings hovers proudly behind him, his black horns stick out his head, his fangs on full display, his dirt hovered body is bleeding, he stands on his hind legs as he breaths heavily in anger.

I look at him with dead eyes.
"I'm doing what is right" I stated before I would attack him.

I pinned him down to the dirty floor, he wriggled under me.
I released my claws and gripped his throat as he still struggled.
My claws slowly sunk into his flesh as he screamed in agony as black blood started to spill everywhere.

I could feel his throat my hands without hesitation, I ripped it out and in my hand was a throat.
I threw it away as I got up.

My clothes where stained with black blood but I cared less.
I looked around in the ruin village, there was one little house that wasn't on fire.

I walked to it and opened the door, it was abandoned but I would almost feel the happiness that once lived in this house.
I walked around, looking for clothes.

Finally I found clean clothes without hesitation I changed into it.
There was a mirror leaning against the wall.

I walked up to it and studied my reflection.
Unlike the other demons I had no bat wings, horns or hind legs.
I looked perfectly human but with crow wings.

My jet black hair is left loosely, my dark brown eyes stares at my reflection, my pale skin is covered in small red scars, my face is rounded with a button nose.

I'm wearing a black dress that covers my body, it has selves with small frills at the end.
By the breast of the dress colourful flower patterns and it reveals a bit of my upper chest.

My wings are away because I can choose if I want to show them or not and it's much better then cutting holes in this beautiful dress.

I place the black robe that I found on my shoulders and button it.
I then pull the hood over my head, covering my eyes.

Deciding that I'm dressed, I leave the ruined village.

The clouds above me is heavy as the sky starts to darken.
I need shelter from the rain at any cost.

I pick up my walking pace, little drops starts to moist the dry earth.
It starts to get a little heavier as soon as I am by the village.

I walk through the emptying village in hope of some shelter.
"You dear with the black robe, you're not around from here" a lady with a honey like voice stated as she approached me.

She smiled and within her soul, I saw that gold lining.
"Come with me dear, I'll give you shelter for a while" She stated as she tugged me by my wrist.

I followed her and when we entered her home, the rain got heavier.
"What is your name dear?' she asked with a soft smile.

My name? Do I have a name? What the other demons used to call me? (y)-(Y/N)?
Yes, it's (Y/N)!
"(Y/N)" I replied.
"That's a wonderful name!" She stated before going into the dark house.

Slowly the candles and the lamps of the house where lit up by the women.
"Make yourself comfortable dear" she stated and I sat on a chair by the dinning table.
"You must be hungry, there eat this bread" The kind women stated as she placed a plate of bread.

"Thank you" I thanked her.

I took a bite and new flavours burst into my mouth, it tasted devine.
As I was eating the bread, I could feel the all the laughter and warmth that surrounded the home. It made my heart move.

🌕☀️🌕☀️🌕

Screams can be heard as I sprung up from the bed, the kind lady offered me.
The door violently swung open.
"(Y/N), dear! Let's go!" She stated as she pulled me out of the bed.
"Mrs, what's happening?" I asked.
"Demons, they're attacking!" She stated as we ran.

Suddenly we stopped and in front us us a demon, with a smirk.
I heard footsteps behind me and suddenly my feet was lifted off the group and I was thrown to the nearest house.
"(Y/N)!" The kind women screamed.

Pain erupted through my body as I slowly got up, I looked up but it was too late, the kind lady was dead, her blood dripped from it's claws and her body lays lifeless on the muddy ground.

Since that day, I decided that I would protect all humans with the gold lining around their soul.

I don't care if I am a demon but I have swear that I'll be the protector of this world.
