"That should do it! Phew," Valentines Medic said as she wiped sweat off of her forehead.

She had just finished writing her book detailing the process of making a special love potion.

The love potion in question was able to make anyone that had it inserted into their body fall deeply in love with the person that created it.

There was an entire scientific explanation for how it worked in the very back pages of the book, but Valentines Medic knew nobody would ever read that kind of information. It disappointed her; she put so much thought into this book, especially that specific part of it.

"VALENTINES MEDIC!" Scout yelled, running around. He had passed the doorway of the room she was in at least 3 times before finally stopping, panting heavily.

"Did you need something?" Valentines Medic glanced over at him, eyes twinkling with curiosity.w

The Scout caught his breath and then breathed out, "Commander wants you in his office! He said he'd crush your staff if you don't go right now!"

"Again..? What have I done this time?" Valentines Medic sighed, putting down her valentines-themed pencil and putting away her love potion-making book. She fixed her outfit and then began to walk to Commander's Office.

As she walked, she noticed how other towers were limping around or in crutches. They must've returned from a harsh battle recently. Was it by Molten Boss? Or was it the Fallen King? Some of them had burn wounds, while others just looked like they were tossed into a cage of rabid cats. She assumed both.

Valentines Medic stepped into Commander's office. She glanced over to his chair, the back of it facing towards her. With a smile and a fixed posture, she cheerfully bleated, "Hello, Commander! I'm here! What's so important that you're gonna destroy my staff if I don't arrive?"

Commander didn't respond for a whole minute, which worried her. Valentines Medic's cheerful tone immediately faded. "Commander?"

"Valentines Medic." He finally turned his chair to face her, a displeased expression inscribed into his face. "Where have you been for the past two months? Our towers have significantly become more and more dormant due to your absence of service."

Valentines Medic gulped. She knew exactly what he was talking about; she'd been neglecting her work solely to write the book about creating love potions, and that for sure was something he would not hesitate to fire her for. She pondered excuses and ways she could get out of this situation, but she knew Commander would see right through them.

But before Valentines Medic could respond, another tower shoved her to the side, face painted over with exhaustion.

"COMMANDER!" Golden Scout huffed out, "UMBRA'S ARMY IS COMING TO OUR CAMP!"

"What?" Commander stood up from his seat. "Details, now! Where are they approaching us from?"

"FROM THE NORTH, SIR!" The golden tower wheezed out. "MOST OF THEM ARE CURSED!"

"Agh, damn it!" Commander grabbed his prized coffee cup and pointed at him with it. "Tell everyone else to gather every bit of ammunition, weaponry and personal belongings they have! We're fleeing!"

As Golden Scout nodded and hurried back out of the office, Valentines Medic stared at Commander in shock. "What? But Commander, we can't just give up like this! We can fight back!"

"We'd be able to fight back if you DID YOUR JOB. Now go on, scram! Gather everything you need and get on the Pursuits located in the back of the camp! Move it!" Commander snarled at her. Valentines Medic whimpered and then saluted him. "Aye, Commander." Promptly leaving the office to retrieve her items.
