Isa's pov
"Isa!" Cassandra drags out my name, shutting and locking the door to my apartment behind her.
"Hi?" I mumble, looking up at her from my plate when she enters the room.
"You have kladdkaka?" She races over and tries to take a piece, but I slap her hand away before she can do that. "Rude."
"I'm not rude, it's mine and you can get your own, it's over there." I point over to the cake pan and she grabs herself a plate and fork on her way over to it.
She takes a large piece, but it's the only one that she's getting, so I don't bother trying to talk her out of it. I have another anyway, hopefully I won't have to share that one. Unsurprisingly, she literally moans when she has the first bite. Vidar's sister-in-law always makes the best kladdkaka, along with other desserts.
"Okay, before I get too far in and forget what I came here for, I uh, I have some boy problems. Not your hot Italian man." Sandy tells me, but there's something she adds at the end that I miss for the most part, but sounds like 'he is half Italian though' or something similar to that.
"Oh? You said problems, do you just mean you like whoever the guy is, or do you have actual problems?"
"Both." I give her a look, and she goes on, explaining. "Well, I like a guy, but there's other girls going after him. Those girls are only fourteen too, while he is a year older than me. I know they hardly have a chance, but it's still possible."
"They don't have a chance, okay? Does he have any idea that you like him?"
"I might've accidentally rejected him but I told him I need to think about it right after." She mumbles, taking a large bite of her piece of kladdkaka to avoid talking much more.
I think it over, trying to think of all the possibilities. Only two come to mind, both quite obvious.
"Then he obviously likes you. Or he's using you, but he better not be. Can I threaten him?" I ask, because even though I know the answer, I still have to ask.
"He's not using me. We've known each other for years. And no you can't threaten him. I just wanted to talk to you before I tell him that I'll go out with him. So what if it's been years since you liked someone? You have more common sense than me, and I need to know what can go wrong and any other details." Sandy tells me, doing an amazing job of putting the weight on my shoulders, because if I tell her anything wrong and then something goes wrong, she won't want to talk to me for a long while.
"First things first, if he wants sex, leave, and if you really want to, slap him on the way out. Obviously if he judges you and laughs at you in any bad way, big red flag, along with not complimenting you, he doesn't listen or support you, all of that. A good amount of the things would just be the same as red flags in a toxic friend. Also, did he just ask you out, or did he say anything about what he wanted to do?"
"Mikael said he wants me to go to his house for supper and we can just do whatever after that. You know him, I just didn't want to say his name."
I know my eyes lit up when she said his name, because he's a great kid, and out of all the guys I know that are around her age, he's the one I like the most. They've been friends since they were five, it's not surprising that they like each other.
"Okay, well, if you guys need a ride somewhere, just text or call me. I also want to bring him there, his parents are cool."

Mikael's pov | thursday that week, 16:12pm
I hear a knock on our front door, and I run to it, sliding on the floor in my socks. Pulling it open, I almost hit myself in the face with the door. My eyes land on Cassandra, and I ignore whoever is behind her.
She's in a black tank top, showing off her form, but not enough for it to be inappropriate. Her pants are just dark grey sweatpants, which are tied just below her waist. She has curves, but they're not insane, although I'd love to get the opportunity to run my hands along them. Her hair is tied in a loose bun behind her head, strands of hair falling out, a few framing her face. There's a light smile on her face, a bit of blush on her cheeks, her blue eyes matching the sky.
With no makeup on, I can admire her gorgeous face even more, her cute button nose contrasting her sharp jawline and filled in cheeks. Her skin is naturally pale, but she got tan over summer, surprisingly as she normally just burns.
She's just cute and huggable and cuddly, at least in my opinion, and I'm quite sure that I'm correct.
"You're both staring." The person behind her says, snapping us out of her daze.
Cassandra is blushing even more, and as much as I want to take all the time in the world to memorise her features, I look behind her to see her older sister, Isa. Moving out of the way, I let them in, not taking my eyes off of Cassandra. She looks at me and blushes even more, if that's possible, when our eyes meet.
"Where are your parents?" Isa asks, glancing at her sister, a smirk on her face.
"Kitchen." I mumble, my hand slowly moving towards Cass' hand.
"Okay. Don't hurt her." She lightly punches my shoulder before going to the kitchen.
Grabbing Cass' hand, I pull her to me before letting go of her hand and hugging her. "Hi." She doesn't reply, but she makes a little noise, a grunt or something of the sort, to acknowledge me. "Thank you for saying yes."
"I'd be an idiot if I said no." She rests her chin on my chest, looking up at me.
"You know, people call you 'casserole' but what if I told you that I want you to be my casserole?" I ask, bending my head to place our foreheads and noses together.
"I wouldn't mind that." Her smile widens, and she rubs her nose gently against mine, giving me an Eskimo kiss.
"Come on." I grab her free hand in mine once again, pulling her down the hall and into my room.
She places her phone and wallet down on my bed, before coming back over to me. "Can we walk to the end of the street and to the pond?" Cass asks, ready to give me her best puppy eyes.
"Of course. Maybe our turtle is there."
