Aryan's POV:

I stared out the balcony that showed the back view of the house. I brought my hand up to my mouth. I placed the cigarette that I held with two fingers between my lips and inhaled. I let out the smoke with a sigh and placed my forearms onto the railing.

My head fell and I grazed the fingers from my free hand in my hair. "Shouldn't you be with your wife?" I didn't bother turning around when I heard my father's voice. "Technically I shouldn't have a wife, no thanks to you of course"

My father is not a person one should make angry but alongside many other traits, I inherited his temper as well so I always spoke freely with him.

"Aryan. You know why we did this" I shook my head and refused to look at him. "I can't believe this is happening" My father placed his hand on my shoulder and said, "You need to start believing it and more importantly you need to accept it. Noor will help change the image that was ruined by the drug case–"

I wanted to interject but my father didn't let me. "I know you didn't do anything but people believe you are an irresponsible person living off me which you are not." I didn't say anything and let my father speak.

"You have already taken over as CEO of Red Chillies Entertainment and now you have gotten married...this will work if you make it work" He patted my back and said, "It's your wedding night go be with you wife" I put out the cigarette and walked to my room after bidding him goodnight.

I shut the door and turned around to see my room. It was now covered with rose petals and candles. I cringed at the sight. I hated when anyone redecorated my room without my permission but I didn't have a choice.

I looked around to see where my wife was and just when I had the little hope that she ran away, the bathroom door opened. She stepped out in her short white night gown. She raised her hands to hold the towel to dry her wet hair.

I looked away from her and made my way over to my side table

I looked away from her and made my way over to my side table. I took off my watch and placed my wallet and phone in the drawer. I put my lighter and cigarettes in their usual place before taking out clothes for my shower.

I didn't speak to her nor did she speak to me. We gave each other a respectable space and kept to ourselves. Once I got out of the shower, I finally heard Noor speak, "You can take the floor" I raised my brow at her and said, "Excuse me?"

She gave me a look that said 'you heard me' and gave me a pillow. I scoffed at her, "This is my room, you can take the floor if you want, I'm sleeping on the bed" I took the pillow and placed it back on the bed.

"I am not sleeping in the same bed as you" She placed her hands on her hips as she demanded I sleep on the floor. I rolled my eyes, not even slightly threatened by her. "Look if you can't sleep next to me then that's your problem not mine"

I smirked as I watched her ponder about her next move. "The floor is quite hard you know" I said as I got under my blanket and made myself comfortable. I looked at her and saw fear so I decided to ease her conscience.

"Look I was against this marriage and I am not happy with it nor am I able to accept you as my wife but believe me I will never disrespect a woman" She started to relax a little. "I will never touch you without your permission...I promise"

She nodded slightly and moved over to the other side of the bed before laying under the blanket. I reached over to the light switch above my side table and switched off the lights.

There was an awkward silence in the room, only the noise of the air conditioning could be heard. I heard Noor mumble a little 'Thank You' but I didn't respond.

She broke the silence again and asked, "Why did you agree to this marriage if you were so against it?" I sighed and replied, "Same reason you did I suppose, my parents" When I didn't get a response, I assumed I was right.

I know she wasn't asleep yet so I took this opportunity to explain to her how I wanted this marriage to work. I wanted to make everything clear on the first day so there will be no confusion.

I told her, "We let each other have our own space, you are allowed to buy anything, go anywhere, do anything, I have no issues with it but for the sake of my parents tell me where you are going in case they ask" She responded with a simple 'okay'

I took this moment to add in, "In public, we will be closer, we need to act like a proper husband and wife that are in love so I may need to hold you close when we are in front of others" She took a moment to respond but eventually agreed.

We finally said our 'goodnight's and turned away from each other to go to sleep. I prayed that this will work because I am in no mood for another scandal.
