Chapter 2: Meet Luke

When I opened my eyes, I saw the hottest boy I ever saw in my life right in front of me. How could a boy so cute notice a weird and awkward girl like me? I felt my cheeks get hot. "Thanks for helping me," I said. "No problem. What's your name?" the boy asked me. "Adriana, what's yours?" I asked. "Luke, Luke Hemmings. Nice to meet you. So, are you okay?" Luke asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. We should probably get on the bus now." I smiled. I smile too much around cute boys. "Yeah, we should." Luke laughed. Oh my god, he was so cute! We walked on the bus and sat next to each other. "Ooh, looks like Adriana's got a boyfriend!" Destiny joked. "Ha ha," I said. "We just met and we're only friends." Luke added. I secretly hoped that he didn't really mean it and he wanted to be more than friends, but we just met. It would be kind of weird if we just started dating now. Plus I don't even know if he's a nice guy yet. He could be a serial killer for all I know! I doubt a serial killer would be that hot though. When we got to school, I walked out of the bus with Luke. "So what do you have first period?" Luke asked. "Science, room 114. What about you?" I asked. "Me too!" he said in his adorable Australian accent. I blushed. "Ooh, looks like someone's got a crush!" Destiny whisper-sang in my ear. "Shut up!" I gritted through my teeth, hoping Luke didn't hear me. I smiled at him. Oh how I wish I could be his girlfriend! "Want me to come with you to class?" Luke asked. "Sure," I said. As Luke and I walked to class, I thought about how I could bring my relationship with Luke up to the next level. Not to the next next level, you know what I mean. I didn't want to be friendzoned by Luke forever. When we got to class, I made sure to sit next to Luke. The bad thing was that Destiny made sure to sit next to me so she could make fun of me. There was a few times during class that I caught myself staring at Luke and Luke turning and seeing me looking at him. I blushed and looked away every time, and when that happened, Destiny would smile and make it so obvious I liked Luke. What can I say? He's hot.

After school, Destiny invited me to go to the pizzeria with another one of our friends, Emilie. Emilie has the same lunch period as Luke, Destiny, and I. Destiny suggested that I invite Luke to come with us. I took Destiny's advice and decided to invite him. Sure enough, he accepted my invitation. I was excited but nervous. What if I got pizza stuck in my teeth and Luke saw it? What if I spill my soda all over my lap and it looks like I peed myself? My worst nightmare would be to humiliate myself in front of Luke.

At the end of the school day, we met outside the school and started to walk to the pizzeria. "That was a good day of school...well as good as school can get." I said. "Agreed." Luke said. As we were walking to the pizzeria, I noticed something kinda funny. A few times when I looked at Luke, I caught him looking at me and he quickly moved his eyes away from mine as soon as we made eye contact. After that I would see his cheeks get red. I thought his face was red because it was hot outside, but he might be blushing because he liked me. I hoped that was true.  When we arrived at the pizzeria, Destiny immediately ran in and got on line. "Woah Destiny, what's the rush?" I asked. Luke giggled. I blushed. His giggle was so adorable! "A large pie and 4 medium Cokes, right?" Destiny asked. "Yep." Luke, Emilie and I said all at the same time. We all laughed. When our pizza arrived, we sat down at a table and started to eat. "This pizza is really good!" Luke said. "Luke, have some table manners!" I giggled. Luke giggled as well. "Oops." he joked. "You guys are really hitting it off." Emilie whispered in my ear. I blushed. It would be amazing if Luke and I dated, but it would probably never happen. I'm not good enough for such a cutie like Luke. He deserves someone better.

A few hours later, we al decided to go home. I checked my phone. It was 4:45, 2 hours after we got out of school. I promised my mom I would be home by 5. "Guys, I need to be home in 15 minutes." I said. "Don't worry. We'll have plenty of time." Luke said. "Yeah. You live like 5 minutes away from here." Destiny said. "Yeah," Emilie chimed in. "Do you want us to go home while we leave the two lovebirds on their own?" Destiny asked. "We're not in love!" I said. I felt my cheeks get hot. "What ever you say. See you at school tomorrow!" Destiny said as she walked off with Emilie. "See you tomorrow, Destiny and Emilie!" I said. "It was great meeting you guys!" Luke said. When Destiny and Emilie were gone, Luke had to talk to me. "Uh, can we have a few words Adriana?" Luke asked. "Sure, Luke. What's up?" I said. "Well, I don't know how to say it. I know it's really early but I really like you and I want you to be my girlfriend. I know I shouldn't have said it, you probably don't like me. I'm not good enough for someone as hot, I mean, pretty as you." I couldn't believe it. Luke Hemmings just asked me out. The cutest boy in the whole school, and I met him just today! I took a deep breath. "Of course, Luke. I had a huge crush on you the moment I laid eyes on you. I was too shy to ask you out though. I thought you would say no." "Me too!" Luke said smiling. Luke could always make an awkward situation better. I smiled. "So Ladriana is a thing now?" I asked. "Yeah." Luke giggled. Luke looked straight into my eyes and asked "Wanna kiss?" I hesitated. I didn't want to kiss him on the first "date" but I just couldn't resist or pass up the offer. "Yes." I said. Luke locked lips with my lips. It felt amazing. Luke was an excellent kisser. I bit his lip and he bit mine. I had my arms wrapped around his neck and his arms were wrapped around my waist. Luke grabbed my butt in the process too. Our lips finally unlocked from one another. "That was amazing." Luke said. "You're a great kisser, Hemmings." "Not too bad yourself, Adriana." Luke smiled. I checked my phone. "Woah, it's 4:55. I need to get home!" I said. "Well, we should get going shouldn't we?" Luke asked. I giggled and grabbed his hand. We ran and laughed all the way home.
