Melissa had been right. No one. Not even the doctors could see Jackson. His body wasn't just oozing clear goo but when she opened the bag, we saw that he was actually encased in the clear liquid from his neck down. When neither of us had the answer to what was happening to him Melissa decided that it was time to call Scott.
Twenty minutes later Scott and Isaac walked into the morgue. Melissa had neglected to tell them that I was here so the shock was clear on their faces. I had to explain that I had originally come to Melissa to try to see if she would let Lydia see Jackson but that clearly wasn't an option. When Scott opened his mouth to say something, probably to tell me that I was supposed to stay away from this I cut him off. I reminded him that he wanted me to be there for my grieving friend, to make it easier for her. I explained that the only thing that was going to make this any easier for Lydia was the ability to see Jackson so we needed to figure out a way to get rid of the gunk around him.
With a defeated sigh he walked over to the body. "So, what's happening to him?"
"We were kind of hoping you'd tell us." Melissa said.
"Whatever it is doesn't look good." Isaac shook his head, staring at the clear casing. He reached out to touch it and I quickly grabbed his arm.
"I wouldn't." I pulled his arm away, letting it fall to his side. "I don't think we'd do very well if we were a werewolf down because you went and got yourself paralyzed."
"You think it paralyzes you even if it just gets on your skin?"
"That's what happened to Stiles."
"What?" Isaac asked looking between Scott and I.
"At the mechanic station." Scott confirmed.
"So, what are we supposed to do with him?" Melissa asked, wringing her hands together.
I looked at Scott, waiting for an answer when Jackson's body began to twitch. His mouth opened to show the rows of razor-sharp teeth and the familiar hissing noise that was probably going to haunt my nightmares when all this was over filled the small room. Jumping back, I kept my eyes on Jackson, fulling expecting him to get off the table and attack all of us. When Jackson began hissing and twitching more Melissa zipped the body bag up and the second the body was no longer visible, I let out a breath I didn't realize I had been holding.
"Call Derek." I told Scott as the body bag began moving more. "Now."
Melissa and I took turns watching around the corners as Isaac and Scott moved the body from the morgue to the parking lot. Once out of the hospital I ran along beside the two of them to help them load Jackson into Scotts car. We were almost there when Scott let the bag slip right through his fingers.
"Which one of you has his head?" I asked curiously. The two looked at each other and then down to the ground. "I was worried about that."
Just then a large black SUV pulled up behind us and Chris Argent, Allion's dad, stepped out. He told us how Gerard had wormed his way into Allison's mind like he did with Kate when she was younger. How she was pushing everyone away and how he refused to lose another family member to this life. If it meant trusting Scott then that was exactly what he was going to do and even more, he was going to help him. We loaded Jackson into Chris' car and when I went to get in Isaac grabbed my arm.
"Not you too." I groaned, looking up at him.
"I told Erica I wouldn't let you do anything stupid. You coming along while he's doing that." He pointed into the trunk where the body bag was beginning to jump around. "That would be stupid."
"Isaac, we don't have time for this." I pleaded.
"I know. So, stop arguing and let us take care of this." He said, closing the door.
