Aether was constantly working hard. He never stopped to take a break, and he never slowed down. The quality of his work was always getting better, it never swayed. To your average onlooker, he was impressively productive and seemed like nothing could be wrong on the inside. He was your above average, friendly, kind, honest Honorary Knight of Favonius. But the truth was the complete opposite. All he wanted was to find his sister, Lumine, and live happily alongside her and his friends. He was tired of being used. 4 commissions a day, 3 bounties a week, 3 requests a week, and he always got them done. He felt underappreciated and like he had no place to go. He was trapped.
Aether was a people pleaser. He was too scared to say no. He had to be the BEST. But he thought he was the worst. He despised himself. He despised his circumstances. He was a bag of bones, working robotically without any actual care for what he was doing. He felt like he would rather be dead at that point. He was sad and he was worried. All he wanted was his sister, and to find peace.
He had saved 3 nations so far and all he got was some missing fliers and minimum info.
Aether was falling apart. He wanted reassurance, to be consoled, and to be told everything would be okay. But nobody suspected anything was wrong, so Aether didn't go out of his way to spill. He already felt embarassed always having to ask about Lumine, he felt embarassed he had to count on others to help him find her. He didnt want to unload MORE of his problems onto someone.
So he kept silent... so he kept working... day after day, night after night, pushing himself more and more... Until-
