The first snowfall of the year had finally arrived and the mountains were capped with silvery white. Except for the occasional sound of the patrolling soldiers, the whole world was so quiet that only the sound of the rustling snow remained.

The light on the amassed snow reflected brightly into the tent. Waking up abruptly and defying against the blinding white light to look upon his side that was empty without the slightest bit of temperature, Jungkook rolled over instantly to get up and felt bursts of stirring coldness in his chest, as if stabbed by the condensed icicle that was under the eaves.

Was it possible that yesterday was another of his hallucinations?

Despite the persistent coughing, he took no heed to drape his clothes but got out of bed and strode out the tent. The shadow guards guarding outside were all taken aback. Before they were able to say anything but glancing at each other, Jungkook had already trampled on the blanket of snow looking frantically around, as if looking for something.

A graceful figure approached quietly from the rear side and seeing his thin clothes with snow- mud covering his legs, she couldn't help but call out softly, "Wangye?"

Stiffened, Jungkook turned his head abruptly. After seeing that delicate face clearly, the coldness instantly melted from his eyes. He immediately rushed over to hug her in two or three steps with elaborate movement that caused all passing-by soldiers to halt and glance over this side with astonishment. Aware of the surroundings' abnormal silence, Lisa pushed him gently.

" "

"Wangye ... a lot of people are watching ... "

He didn't make a sound nor did he let her go but just stood in the snow, as if wanting to hold her till the end of time.

Knowing that he had yet to calm down from the nightmare of loss, Lisa did not force him but acutely changed the subject, "I woke up early today and went to the military chef to see what's there to eat. Yugyeom told me that you have a bad cough recently, so I made some easily swallow porridge and a crock of chuanpei snow pear soup for you to drink after breakfast."

Hearing this, Jungkook immediately drew back to inspect her whole person from top to bottom then cupping her belly and asked, "What are you doing in that chaotic and messy place? Did you get burned or bumped by anyone?"

Lisa arched her eyebrows then joked hearing his worries and irate, "Once they saw me, it was like seeing a ghost that they can't even run away in time. How would anyone dare to bump me?"

"No talking nonsense!" The word ghost jabbed Jungkook's heart that his complexion spontaneously changed slightly.

"Okay, okay, I was wrong." Lisa astutely acted pragmatically then began to act coquettishly, "It's so cold outside. Shall we go inside to eat? Although it's still in the early trimester now, it's really somewhat tiring standing for a long time ..."

Jungkook seemed to feel overwhelmed seeing her supporting her waist that he hurriedly gathered her to enter the tent while Yue'ya trailed behind with a tray. It was until the curtain was put down and securely covered that the scene inside was no longer visible did the onlooker-soldiers begin to move again except their expressions were utterly flabbergasted.

Have they ever seen such a Wangye in the six years in Northern Land? Who actually is that person who can make Wangye doted on her to the marrow of his bones?

These questions quietly spread amongst the troop while the two of them were oblivious as they enjoyed a rare meal together in the small tent.

"How is it? Is it delicious?"

It was Lisa's first time cooking and she was eager to know if it was to Jungkook's liking. He nodded and gave an affirmative answer but a while later, he raised a question, "You didn't know how to cook before. How come you suddenly cook so well?"
