Michael's POV

Holy fuck.

"Your her dad?" I asked, not believing what this guy was telling me.
"Yes," he nodded.
I got up and walked towards him.
"You broke her you know that?" I asked.
The doctor looked at me with surprise.
"Why do you care?" he asked.
I laughed.
"Because I was going to propose to your daughter today."
That took him off guard.
"You what?" he asked.
"I'm asking your daughter to marry me."
"No your not."
I looked at him in surprise.
"Do you really think you can stop me? After everything you've done, I'm sure that you don't have any say over what I do with your daughter," I said.
"Do you beat her?" he asked.
What? Was this guy serious?
"Are you kidding me?" I half yelled. "I care about Mia more than I care about myself! I love Mia and I'm going to show her that by asking her to marry me! Mia is the one thing other than my friends and family that makes me feel happy and loved!"

The doctor looked like he was about to have a stroke.
"We're did you meet her?" he asked.
"At a mental institution," I replied.
His eyes widen.
"No, I wasn't the patient. Your daughter was."
His eyes widen until they looked like they would come out of his heads and I swear to god, he didn't look like he was going to have a stroke anymore, he was having one.
"I fell in love with her the moment I laid eyes on her. She was quiet, slightly scary, and had the fucking creepiest eyes you'll ever come across, but I love her for it. I stuck by her side when I found out that she was bullied, when I found out she had depression, when I found out she cut! But I loved her enough to stay with her! And if that's not enough for you, I don't care!"
I turn and sit in the seats.
"Follow me and I'll take you to her room," he said.
My head jerked up.
I was going to see her?
I followed the doc-Mia's dad to a small room.
"She's tired so be careful," he said.
I walked in and nearly passed out.
Mia was wrapped in bandages and her face had stitches covering most of the skin.
Her eyes were closed but I knew she was awake.
"Mia?" I asked as I sat in one of the chairs next to the bed.
Her eyes fluttered open and I gasped.
They weren't there usual gold, but a dull butternut brown.
"What happened to your eyes?" I asked.
"They go like this when I face extreme trauma, they'll go back to gold once I'm better."
I sighed.
I loved her eyes. They sparkled when she talked and they had flakes of blue in them that made them look gorgeous. I hoped they went back to normal soon.
"How are you?" I asked.
"It hurts so much Michael," she said softly.
"I know baby, I know," I whispered.
Mia's eyes fluttered close and I realised that she fell asleep.
"Goodnight baby," I whispered as I laid my head back in the chair and fell asleep.

Chapter 10

The next few months passed quickly and I found that Mia's eyes did eventually turn a shade lighter every few days until they were a bright butterscotch.
I sat in the hospital and watched as Mia picked at her food with a worried look on her face.
"What's wrong babe?" I asked.
"I think I need to see a doctor."
A worried look crossed my face.
"Why?" I asked.
She looked at me and tears pricked my eyes. She was on the verge of tears, something was up.
"I think I'm pregnant."
I choked on the piece of pizza in my mouth. (< I had to do that!)
"Pregnant?" I asked.
She shrugged her shoulders and a tear slid down her face.
"Hey, it's okay baby, we'll get through this," I said. "What makes you think that your pregnant?" I asked.
"I haven't gotten my periods over the past couple of months, I've been gaining weight, I've had mourning sickness and my stomach is swollen," she said.
Now that I think about it, she was getting a little bit bigger.
"Are you going to leave, like most people do?" she asked.
I was not surprised that she would ask that. Most guys that get there teenage girlfriend knocked up, left.
But I wouldn't.
"Baby, I would never do that to you," I asked as a thought came to mind. "Wait, how the fuck would a baby have survived a car crash?"
She shrugged her shoulders.
"How the hell am I supposed to know?"
Mia's dad walked in the room and he smiled.
"Hey, sweetie. How are you?" He asked.
Mia just ignored him. She was extremely pissed that he stayed away from her. In her eyes, he abandoned her.
"Michael?" she asked.
"Yeah?" I replied.
"Can you go get me a doctor?"
Her dad gaped at her.
"Sure," I said walking out of the room.
I came back to see Mia in tears.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"He yelled at me!" she cried. "He said I'm not worth it!"
I gasped.
I wanted to make her happy, so I decided that today was the day.
"What did you want me for?" the doctor I got asked.
"We think Mia is pregnant," I said. "Uh, before you do anything, could I ask Mia something?"
The doctor nodded and moved to the back of the room.
"Mia," I asked sitting down. "I have wanted to ask this since the day of the car crash but I didn't think anything would happen and that completely ruined my plans, but I didn't want to ask you in the hospital but your in a shitty mood and I want you to be happy so I'm gonna ask!" I blurted.
"What is it?" Mia asked.
I toll a deep breath. Don't think. Just do.
"Will you marry me?" I asked, pulling out the case that I always kept in my back pocket.
Her eyes widened.
"Yes!" she squeaked.
She pulled me into a hug and I kissed her fore head.
I slid the ring onto her finger and smiled.
"Baby?" she asked.
"Right, the baby," I sighed.
I looked over to the doctor.
"We think Mia might be pregnant doc," I said.
"I know!" the doctor chirped. "I found out today, I was running some tests and Mia is three months pregnant, so about the time of the car crash." She said.
I smiled.
"I'm a dad," I said. "I'm having a baby!"
I looked at Mia who was crying in the good way.
"We're parents! I'm having a baby!" she squealed.
The door opened and the girls and boys came in.
"What's all this commotion?" Luke asked.
"Two things." Mia said.
"First," I said. "I proposed!"
"Second," Mia said. "I'm pregnant!"
"What!" Lara squeaked.
"I know!" Mia chirped.
Ashton came up and put his hand on her stomach and laughed.
"I'm happy for you guys, you two are going to make an amazing family!" he said.
"Thanks mate," I laughed.
Calum walked up to me and smiled sadly.
"I'm glad," he said, then he turned to Mia. "I'm sorry, for how I treated you, I was jealous, as crazy as that sounds."
Mia laughed.
"It's okay, I forgive you!"
Calum smiled gratefully and walked away.
"Names!" Casey and Ashleigh jinxed.
I thought about that.
"I think if its a girl, I would want her name to be Charlotte Cynthia Clifford and I would want a baby boy to be called Jake or Jacob Andrew Clifford."
I looked at Mia who nodded.
"Agreed!" she said.
"Cheers to Michael, Mia and surprise baby!" Luke cheered.
"Cheers!" we all said in unison.
