What It Means To Call You A Friend

A messy classroom is something everyone of us has been a part of. One such class full of smiling boys and girls went right back to being perfectly organized as soon as the teacher entered the class. Since it was just the beginning of the day, they wished their teacher with a fresh rhythm-"Good Morning ma'am."

TEACHER – A very good morning everyone. Please take your seats. To start with, I have an announcement to do. From today on wards, you all will be having a new friend who has just enrolled her name in our academy. She is relatively new here at Ravenden, so I would like you all to treat her well.

Oliver was sitting with an empty seat beside him as he wondered to himself,

OLIVER – A new student who is a foreigner??....

TEACHER – My dear child, come inside.

On the teacher's call, a girl came in with a soft and slow pace. Her unique features quickly grabbed everyone's attention towards her. The tone of the eyes was an unusual dark violet that was just not dark enough to call it black. Her hair was long with her bangs reaching beyond her eyebrows. The tone her hair had was just as unusual as her eyes- Almost white but with a tinge of lavender, almost as if it was not real. Those features were complimented by her almost white complexion. To conclude, she was absolutely gorgeous. The students continued to stare at her. Not a single one of them could resist her unique self standing right by their teacher.

Oliver thought to himself as he looked at her unusual hair and eyes,

OLIVER – ... I can't even tell which country she is from... 

TEACHER – she will be a part of this class from today onward. Let me introduce her. Her name is Glory Kuruzu. Glory, would you like to say something to your new classmates?

GLORY – Nice to meet you all. From today, please consider me a part of this class.

TEACHER – You can go and sit beside Oliver in the fifth bench. 

OLIVER – Me...with her.... ?

The teacher's words had managed to catch Oliver off guard. 

TEACHER – Why? You don't mind her sitting beside you, do you?

OLIVER – Huh?... y..ya... I don't  mind at all!

Glory went to him and sat beside him. However, what followed was an awkward silence. The teacher started the class right away but Oliver was feeling too uncomfortable to pay any attention to what the teacher was saying. He thought to himself, "well... what should I say to her... Just staying silent like this is so awkward."

OLIVER – Hi. My name is Oliver. It's very nice to meet you.

Oliver greeted Glory with a smile and a friendly tone.

GLORY – Hi.

OLIVER – So, are you new to this country?...

GLORY– Why do you ask me that?

OLIVER – Why you ask... well it's because you don't really look like anyone I have ever seen... Are you an  albino?

GLORY – HUH? What is an albino?

OLIVER – OH ... don't mind my words. Just forget whatever I said ...

Oliver felt that he had made Glory uncomfortable with his questions. Glory noticed his silence and said,

" It's fine. I am from Leonus "

OLIVER – Wow...never heard of that place before. Sounds like a nice place though.

GLORY – I came here with my elder brother to stay at my aunt's house.

OLIVER – What about your parents?
