FAST-FORWARD TWO WEEKS

"morning" kenma woke you up with a kiss to your forehead.

of course, over the course of two weeks, you and kenma had grown closer to one another as a couple.

your love for one another was still as strong as ever and wasnt going to weaken.

"morning" you smiled up at him.
he returned the heart warming gesture along with another small kiss to your lips.

"i need to talk to you about something"
kenma sighs in a genuine tone

"YOURE PREGNANT?" you joke

"not the time" he furrows his brows.

"wait, why're you all serious? did something happen?"

"i just wanna talk to you about stuff, you know?"

"go on.." you moved from your previous lying down position to sitting with your back against the frame of the bed.

"i'm starting to think about going back to japan. i just dont feel the same happiness here as i did in japan. you're honestly the only thing that makes me happy here in france."

"hm. i understand, but i do have to ask—why'd you come here in the first place?"

"to visit, duh. but then covid started and i couldnt fly back to japan. when flights re-opened, i met you and i didnt feel like i needed to leave."

"ohh—wait so i'm the only thing keeping you here?"

"basically."

"well, then i say we fly to japan together!"

"what?"

"what do you mean "what"? i said i could live in japan with you."

"but you're gonna need a lot of things"

"like?"

"a passport, a visa application form, a photograph, and a certificate of eligibility"

"i'll figure out a way to get all those, dont you worry, pretty boy~!" you smile brightly at him.

as days turn in to weeks, and weeks to months, you were on a journey to get all the items you need to permanently move to japan with your lovely boyfriend!

2 MONTHS LATER

"well, pretty boy? i told you i'd get all the items." you proudly boast

"took you long enough" he murmured

"well, what do we now..?" the pride that you showed in your previous statement seemed to have wiped itself out of you, and a more questioning tone came about.

"i hate to break it to you, my love, but i really dont know"

"i guess we order tickets?"

"i'd think so—oh, by the way, how'd charlotte, cecilia, aster, and thea feel?"

"i'm not that close with aster and thea, but cecilia and charlotte were basically heart broken. i felt so horrible! they even cried! im definitely going to come and visit them like four times a year."

"you know you didn't have to come with me right? you seem really sad leaving france."

"i love you, kenma, with my entire heart and soul. i couldnt just leave you."

"i love you, too, but you know, i couldve stayed in france"

"you seemed unhappy. i'd rather have you happy than sad."

"well what if youre unhappy in japan?"

"i'm happy as long as youre happy"

"that sounds incredibly corny, wow"

"shut up!"

(a/n: hi. we're on chapter 23. now, i'm probably gonna end it at chapter 25 but i might extend it to 30 just because i dont wanna end it on an awkward number like 26,27,28, or 29. anyways im sorry if the next 2 chapters are like horrible bc im rlly sucky at ending a story lol
also i have two separate ends planned. my new ending, which'll be called "XXV" and my original ending, which'll be called "ALT END" which basically means its an alternate ending. i might just finish it at XXV but we'll see! word count: 685 words)
