I'm so tired, I had a long day yesterday, i made a chapter but I hated it. It made Riley sound very desperate and she's not that type of character. Anyways enjoy this very different chapter.

I'm going to change Ana's name to Andreas because she threatened me with caps and caps scare me. ;) I hate making changes but I had too, this is the last time I ever make a change.

You should all be thankful for 🎅🏼 cause if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have updated this until like 4678 years later.

Lucas walked towards Riley's building when he smiled to himself, he couldn't believe Andrea was being cool about this whole thing, even allowing him to go see the girl he thought he was in love with at one point. He looked up at the fire escape that became so familiar to him when he needed something to care about. He climbed the stairs until was on her balcony. He walked towards her window, suddenly feeling nervous, his palms getting sweaty and he stopped himself from knocking when he heard Maya and Riley near the bay window.

"I told you not to go over there." Maya said, wrapping her arm around her friend that was sniffling.

"I know but I didn't even know he was back!" She whimpered into her friends shoulder." He didn't even come by to tell me, I meant that little to that playboy. He's always going to be the same ignorant asshole, he always was, isn't he?"

Lucas leaned closer to get a better listen but something made him slip and fall face first onto the hard metal balcony and a groan left his lips. He could hear the girls asking each other if they heard that noise and the sound of a window being pulled open." What the hell? Lucas? What are you doing here?" Riley's very annoyed voice ringed in his ears and he looked down to see an empty can of beer under his shoe.

"Apparently fighting with an empty beer can." He smiled, sitting up and looked up at Riley that was just staring at him with a blank expression." Have you been drinking?" He faked gasped, his hand holding onto his chest in a fake shocking manner.

She raised an eyebrow in confusion before looking down at the can." Actually that was the can you left out there the day you were drunk." She explained, rolling her eyes. How ironic, it was the same stupid beer can he hated." Hello? Lucas can I help you with something?" She snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Oh yeah, uhm.. I came to talk to you." He said, getting to his feet but when he turned to look at the window, she was gone and a pissed off Maya was climbing out of the window.

"You listen here, I told you not to come looking for Riley." She hissed, pointing her index finger into his chest." Stop trying to be friends with her, stop looking for her, stop breathing the same air as her, just leave her alone." She was about to say something else when Riley reappeared on the window.

"Maya." She whispered calmly, Lucas looked up to see her climbing through her window." He has to breath or else he'd die."she said matter of factly.

"That's the point." She snapped, her eyes never leaving him.

"Go talk to josh, he's sitting in there waiting for you."

"Uncle boing?" Her features changed and a goofy smile took over took her lips." Fine but yell if you need me." She turned and disappeared into the room.

"Sorry about that." Riley spoke, walking over to the railing and resting her arms on it as she looked out at the New York street." So what do you need?" She asked, not looking at him.

"How are things with you and Brandon?" He finally asked, walking to stand next to her, he noticed that she tensed beside him and he couldn't help but smile at how nervous she was becoming.
