I did it. I got away. Away from everybody. This is the beginning of my new life. No going back now.
"The flight will be taking off in 5 minutes, please all passengers be seated and follow the cabin crew's instructions" A voice spoke out to everybody on the plane.
Thank goodness it isn't a full flight, I don't know if I could stand sitting with two strangers next to me for 23 hours.
"Thank you boys, please hurry and take your seats" an air hostess said behind me, to a group of boys who appeared to be late.
Please don't sit next to me. Please don't sit next to me. Pleeeaaaaaseeeeee. Damn.
I looked up to see 3 boys take the seats infront of me and two take the seats next to me.
"Do you mind if we sit here?" The boy asked, as he bit his lip ring.
"No, It's fine." I lied.
After another 5 minutes the plane took off. I looked over the city of London remembering all of the cruel memories it held for me. A tear rolled down my cheek at the thought of what drove me out of here.
"Er, Are you ok?" The boy with the lip ring asked.
"Um... Yes I'm fine" I lied again, whilst wiping the tear from my cheek.
"I'm Luke by the way and er this is Daniel" He spoke, gesturing over to Daniel.
"I'm Lilly" I smiled at them both and reached down to my bag for my magazine.
I wasn't trying to be blunt with them, I just didn't know them and I'm not so good with strangers. I flicked open my magazine to find the page I was at before I boarded the plane. I stopped a page which caught my eye. What the fuck. I looked over to the strangers next to me and looked back at the magazine.
"Erm?" I held up the magazine with a confused look on my face and they both began laughing.
"That's us" Daniel said, stating the obvious.
"I can see that but why are you in a magazine?" I asked them.
"We're The Janoskians" Daniel spoke again, I notcied Luke smiling and biting his lip out of the corner of my eye.
I'd heard of The Janoskians before of course but never really looked them up myself. However, after an hour or so of Daniel and another boy, who introduced himself as 'James', non stop talking about their group, I was pretty up to speed. Apparently they've spent a week in England meeting fans and what not.
It was 6 hours into the journey, after a few hours sleep I woke up to loud music blaring through headphones next to me.
"You're gonna go deaf" I said, as I pulled a headphone out of Luke's ear.
"Sorry, was it bugging you?" He asked me, pressing pause on his iPod and removing the other headphone.
"No, you're fine" I lightly laughed at his sincerness.
"Good." Luke spoke, looking like he was holding something back. "So, Er Lilly... How come you're heading to Melbourne?"
So many different things were running through my head. I need to think of an excuse. Why can't I think of an excuse.
"Um... It's... Er... Work" I blurted out, as I looked up to his worried eyes.
"Work? What work?" He asked.
Shit. He clearly doesn't believe me. Great one, Lilly. Why didn't I just say I was going on holiday?! UGH! I'm never going to see him again so I guess it can't hurt to lie a little...
"Er... Just for my aunt at her office."
"You're going all the way from England to Australia, to work in an office?" He didn't sound convinced.
"Yep!" I said, trying to sound enthusiastic.
He looked utterly confused yet intrigued to know more.
"So, where in Melbourne will you be living?" He asked me.
OH FUCK. I don't even know where I'm going when I get off the plane, let alone any names of places in Melbourne.
"I'm not too sure yet... My er... My aunt is away on business right now... So... I'll be staying in a hotel for a while" Well that wasn't a complete lie.
"LUKE, SHUT THE FUCK UP INTERROGATING HER" A head popped up from the middle seat in front. "Please ignore my brother, he's a nosey fuck"

There's something about her. Something she's holding back. It's not just her terrible excuses that make it obvious, but the permanent scared look on her face.
She began rummaging through her luggage back, she didn't notice but I saw something fall out of it. I bent down to grab it. It was an envelope with her name written across it. I lifted it up from the ground and held it out to her. She froze. It was like she had seen a ghost.
"This fell out your bag" I told her, as she stared at the envelope with a worried look. "Lilly?"
She snatched the envelope from my hand and shoved it to the bottom of her bag without saying a thing. She looked at me with her scared blue eyes and exhaled out.
"Are you okay?" I asked her.
"Yeah, it's um... Just an old letter that I couldn't leave behind!" she forced a smile.
It wasn't an old letter. I could tell that from the way she looked at it. She'd never seen this letter before, and it seemed as though she never wanted to see it again.

I woke up to Luke nudging at me to let him past so he could go to the toilet. Great, just as I get some sleep I get freaking woken up! I looked over to Lilly and she was rummaging through her bag and noticed a scrumbled up piece of paper fall onto the floor, I guess thats one way of getting rid of rubbish!
"Hey Lilly, did you say why you were coming out to Melbourne?" I asked her, curiously.
"Um, just for a holiday." She answered, with a quick smile.
I looked up to see Luke eager to get back to his seat and clearly drool some more over Lilly.

"We will be landing shortly, please passangers be aware of the seatbelt sign turning back on"
Excited at the thought of nearly being back on Australian soil, I leaned down to make sure everything was back in my bag. There was just my shit scattered all over the floor. Ok, headphones back in, magazine back in, shitty book that James told me to read back in and random piece of paper that is probably important back in.
