"Shhh" I whispered swaying Nuriye who was restless the entire night after having to change the climate around her and the bed she was sleeping in.
"When do you think we will get news, Sultanim?" Mal asked holding on to Korkut who was asleep. I looked at the children behind me sitting nervously on the couches, they could feel the tension around them all over.
"I don't know but by nightfall, I will leave to see what is going on in there" I answered in a hushed tone. I turned to look at the doors as they opened and Halil ran in with a grin on his face.
"Sultanim, his majesty woke up" Halil didn't even bother to bow. Relief washed over me making me drop down to my knees with Nuriye still in my arms.
"Mommy!" Murad yelled running over to me and hugging me. I reached one of my arms and hugged him back while the other kept his sister balanced on my other arm.
"Mal, prepare everything, we're going back home" I looked up at my maid. She bowed with a smile and ran with Mara to inform the others to start their preparations.
I walked into the palace that I owned, for now of course and I can only hope that I will for the rest of my life. The whole harem bowed with respect as I walked in front of it with my children and Hürrem's children surrounding me. I turned to look into the harem as I walked by, I noticed Hundi standing among the women which was a relief because she was my loyal servant and I could only hope that she was alright while I was away. My eyes met with the rude Fatma who also committed a crime against Hürrem but seeing her didn't ruin my good mood.
I walked down the golden road holding on to Beyazid and Murad's hands. Bali Bey was standing in front of the door and bowed to me when I reached him. I nodded at him and continued my way into Suleiman's room where the Valide and Hatice were standing at the foot of the bed and Mahidevran and Mustafa were standing on Suleiman's left. I walked over to the right side of the bed and let go of the boys' hands and reached over to Suleiman, he held out his hand to me in acceptance. I took ahold of his hand and leaned down to kiss it respectfully.
"Welcome back to reality, my Sultan" I smiled brightly at Suleiman. He squeezed my hand with a smile on his face. I let go of his hand and stood back up straight. I looked around at the people around me standing around the bed of the Sultan.
The Valide was smiling happily as she watched her son come back to life basically. Hatice was smiling at the children around me happy that they survived this milestone. Mustafa was just happy that his father was awake and back among us. However his eyes drifted over to me and he gave me a nod of respect, I nodded back hoping this meant his childish crush had passed during this lesson sent to us by Allah. Mahidevran was glaring at me and the children like she wanted to jump over the bed and kill us one after the other. The look of disappointment on her face made me feel victorias in a way, she didn't get what she wanted, she lost the throne when it was at her fingertips, she lost the right to hurt me and my children when it was so close to her.
"You have no idea what we went through while you were sleeping" I whispered sadly. Suleiman bounced Cihangir on his knee watching the reaction of the small boy who had also just risen from the dead in a way.
"I know" He looked up at me. My eyebrows shot up in confusion, how could he have known what was going around him when he was in a coma.
"Who told you?" I asked. Suleiman handed me Cihangir who was getting fussy on his arms. I placed Cihangir in his crib sideways for his back and covered him. I turned back to Suleiman awaiting his answer.
"No one had to, I heard and felt everything that was going on around me" Suleiman's words didn't make sense in a way but at the same time they made perfect sense.
