leave well enough alone
'Where is Rebekah?' Gloria immediately questioned, looking between both Stefan and Klaus. Mira groaned slightly as she tried to nurse her headache, and Klaus looked at her in slight concern.
'She'll be here,' he assured the witch. 'I can't just conure her on demand.'
He furrowed his eyebrows as he looked between Elijah, who was literally holding up a half-conscious Mira.
'Brother,' he greeted, making Elijah give him a slight nod. 'The bloody hell happened to her?'
'She got some shocking news,' Gloria said quickly, knowing full well Mira didn't want Klaus knowing the contents of the journal. 'It was hard to digest so she decided to swallow some of my finest bourbon along with it.'
'She's drunk,' Klaus interpreted and Mira gave him a sarcastic smile.
'Hungover,' she corrected sassily. 'I was drunk now I'm just hungover because someone wanted to wake me up. Dick.'
Klaus chuckled slightly, thinking she was calling his brother a dick when in reality she was calling Damon one.
Not that he knew that.
Klaus grabbed the bottle that he had taken from Stefan's apartment and placed it on the bench, disregarding it as Gloria gave him a beer, but Mira couldn't take her eyes off of it. She wondered if he meant it, meant picking that particular bottle.
'Somethings wrong with Stefan,' a voice came from her side.
'I'm really not in the mood,' Mira grumbled slightly, attracting the attention of Klaus and Elijah, both aware of who she was talking to. They wouldn't voice their longing to speak to their younger brother, aware it would make Mira feel guilty for having the ability to do so.
'Well, get in the mood Mira,' Henrik said exasperatedly. 'He might be the reason Nik's hybrids are failing.'
'Does it look like I care?'
Mira was not a good drunk.
'Mira, this is serious,' Henrik explained. 'Just go into another room. I cant talk about this in front of the others.'
'It's not like they can hear you anways.'
Henrik gave her a pointed look.
'Okay, okay!' She held her hands up in mock surrender. 'Fine I'll go.'
Walking away from the group of vampires, all who were following her movements with curiosity, Mira entered the door off to the side of the bar, the one that held the storage of Gloria's alcohol.
'What?' She questioned Henrik, who was looking at her exasperatedly. He raised his eyebrows. 'Oh. Right.'
Waving her hand, the red energy that was becoming familiar to Mira emitted from her hands in a glow and covered the outer edge of the room before slowly fading from vision, as if it were absorbed by the wall.
'There. No one can hear us.'
'Stefan isn't with you,' Henrik warned hastily, unaware of how long they would be able to talk without someone interrupting them. 'There's something wrong. Something is missing and Stefan knows exactly what it is.'
'How do you know?'
'Witch friends,' Henrik replied ominously. 'Listen, just, please. Don't trust Stefan.'
'Don't trust Stefan,' Mira repeated, trying to get the phrase stuck in her hazy mind. 'Don't trust Stefan, don't trust Stefan, don- '
'Mira?' Elijah opened the door, and she jumped, unexpecting the visitor.
