"Now, Listen up you two." Loid said to M/N and Anya, arriving at the apartment complex where he lived at, "Starting today, you are my children, but to everyone else, you have always been my children. Got it?". While Anya just nodded, M/N raised an eyebrow and asked Loid "Why?". Loid tensed up a bit, though kept his composure as he  told M/N "Well, since we're now family, does it really matter if we tell people that we always were one?". M/N didn't bother to ask another question, not wanting to pry too much so that he and Anya would be returned to the foster home. "Also, please call me father." Loid added on, Anya smiling and saying "Pa!" to him. "That works...." Loid muttered, the three entering the complex.

As they went up the stairs to Loid's apartment, they came across an old lady who smiled at M/N and Anya when she saw them holding hands. "Oh my, your kids are so adorable~" the old lady told Loid, Loid tipping his hat at her and introducing themselves as the Forgers. "We just moved in today." Loid said, Anya looking at the old lady and blankly saying to her "I'm Anya, and I've always been Pa's daughter.". The old lady let out an slightly confused "Hm?" as M/N nudged Anya a bit and muttered "Too much detail, don't you think?". Loid groaned a bit, telling the two "Come on, let's head inside." as he opened the door to his apartment so that they could go in first.

"My house?" Anya asked, Loid nodding while Anya took one hesitant step in with M/N following right behind her. Anya looked around, her eye being caught by a small TV and excitedly smiling. "TV!" Anya exclaimed, running over to it and grabbing the remote. She than turned on the TV, the TV now playing a anime called "Spy Wars". Loid had an annoyed look on his face, M/N noticing this and telling him "It's her favorite show." as Anya watched the anime with sparkling eyes. Loid sighed, asking M/N "Are you okay with watching over her alone?". "Yeah, I've done that multiple times. Are you heading out?" "Yeah, just for a bit." Anya looked back when she heard that, quickly standing up and going to Loid as he was about to leave.

"Adventure!" Anya said, wrapping her arms around Loid's leg in an attempt to be brought with him. Loid glared at Anya, trying to shake her off while saying "It's not an adventure! I'm just going shopping!". Anya was still attached to him, M/N holding back a snort at the sight which made Loid blush in embarrassment. "...Alright, let's go out together." Loid reluctantly said, Anya looking up at him with a big smile and letting go of his leg. As  Loid opened the door, Anya asked him "Can M/N come too?". Loid and Anya looked back at M/N, who told them "Oh, I'm perfectly fine staying here.". Anya pouted, M/N letting out a small sigh and put his hands in his hoodie's pockets.

"Okay, I'll go with you guys." "Yay!"

The town was bustling with many people out and about, Anya looking wonder as she skipped in front of Loid and M/N. "Anya, don't go too far or else we're going to lose you!" M/N called out, Anya not hearing him while she soon entered a crowd. "Anya!" M/N said in panic, about to go into the crowd to find the little girl but was pulled back by his collar thanks to Loid. Just than, a elderly woman brought Anya back to them, telling her "When you're small, you gotta hold right onto Daddy's or Big Brother's hand, okay?".

Anya looked up at Loid, hesitant to hold his hand. So, she instead held M/N's held, the two walking beside Loid as they continued their shopping. But it was a few seconds later when Anya spilt away from them again, having taken notice of a bakery and immediately being fascinated by the cakes that were on display. As Anya squished her face into the glass with drool going down her mouth, M/N asked her "Want me to get you something from there?". Anya nodded, M/N smiling and going into the bakery with her. Once Anya chose the cake she wanted, M/N reached in his pocket and took out a few Pents. "Is this enough?" M/N asked, The cashier shaking their head and saying that the cake actually cost 1 dalc.

M/N took out all the pents he had, counting to see how much they added together. It was too little to be considered a dalc, M/N sighing and looking at Anya with a sad smile. "How about you order something else? Like a donut or something?" "No! I want the cake!" M/N frowned, turning his attention back to the pents he had. However, Loid soon was with them, paying the cashier the amount needed. "Here you go." Loid said, giving Anya the cake as she happily smiled. "Thank you!" Anya exclaimed, beginning to eat the cake. Loid than looked at M/N, asking him "Where do you get that money?". "...I have nimble fingers." Loid stared at M/N for a bit before letting out a chuckle and smirking, folding his arms and telling him "Well, the fact I didn't notice really proves to me that.".

M/N half heartedly smiled, quickly taking notice of Anya's Frosting covered face. "You're always so messy when you eat." M/N said, bending down to Anya's height and wiping his face with his sleeve. Loid watched the two, a small smile creeping it's way which made him blush when he realized that it was on him.

It was nighttime, Anya  having fallen asleep while Loid was still up. As he read a book on parenting, he heard the door to the living room open and looked over to see M/N coming in. "Sorry if I'm bothering you." M/N said, Loid closing his book and shaking his head. "What are you doing up so late?" Loid asked, M/N looking down and saying "I'm just not sleepy.". Loid sighed, letting M/N sit beside him on the couch as he started to twiddle his thumbs in nervousness. "Thank yoy for earlier." M/N said, Loid nodding while M/N thought back to what happened at the bakery. "You really didn't need to pay." "But isn't it my duty as a parent to do so?" "Yeah....but it's just that I'm more used to doing stuff by myself."

Loid slightly widened his eyes, asking M/N "What do you mean by that?". M/N snorted, telling him "For starters, I've been a foster kid until now, so I never really experienced the feeling of having a parent until now" when M/N said that, Loid frowned slightly. "Oh...." "So, you can kinda say that you paying was the first time someone actually cared for him as if I was their child." Loid chuckled softly at that, muttering a "You're welcome." to M/N. "By the way...why did you adopt us?" M/N asked, Loid freezing and trying to come up with the proper words.

"I....I just always wanted a family." He said, M/N not entirely buying the answer. Soon, Anya came into the living room, rubbing her droopy eyes while yawning. "M/N, I'm thirsty." Anya said, M/N getting up and going over to her. "Want some water?" M/N asked, Anya nodding and following him to the kitchen. Loid let out a sigh of relief, glad that he was able to keep his secret.

He couldn't let them know that he was a spy.....
