Jennie was a woman that promised things and did exactly what she said. After all those years, she herself couldn't believe that she would try to move on from the only person she thought she had ever felt in love with.

But, it seemed like fate was not on Jennie's side because every time she glanced, she always saw a gleam of Lisa's shadow everywhere. Her smile. Her bike. Her jacket. Anything she landed her eyes on, it was Lisa's or Lisa herself.

At first, she thought she was imagining things, and she needed to go see doctors and stuff, but after a while, Jennie realized that Lisa was actually stalking her from far away.

One day, Her co-worker took her home. He was a man. Lisa didn't want men near Jennie, apparently, given the fact that she had beaten the shit out of the last one.

Jennie put her hands on the guy's neck, leaning to brush something on his shirt, which was considered inappropriate by Jennie's own standard to do this kind of stuff, but luckily her co-worker seemed to enjoy it as well. Jennie wondered if he still enjoyed it if he knew what was coming next.

Surprisingly, Lisa wasn't out to punch him yet. "Thank you for accompanying me home today." Jennie smiled softly. She hated herself for accepting Mino's offer to take her home. After all, the guy had been courting her for months. Now, that she accepted something from him the first time, he might have gotten the wrong idea.

"I am happy to be here for you. This neighborhood can be dangerous, and I don't like you walking alone after the bus leaves."

Jennie knew he cared for her a lot more than just a normal co-worker. He was a good guy, and all, but he was not that someone.

But, Jennie was a determined woman. When she said she wanted to move on, she wasn't joking, and Lisa should not have been stalking her after she literally spat on her face that she didn't remember her.

"Thanks, again. Mino." Jennie waved shyly. This was not her usual behavior. She knew she would hate herself later on.

With another good night, he left.

Before she could unlock her door, somebody grabbed her wrist. "Mino. You scared me." She turned so fast that she almost tripped over, but the so-called Mino was there, catching her like she was the main character in the movie or something. "Lisa." She mumbled softly. "What are you doing here?" Then, her voice was louder all of a sudden.

Lisa released her hand seconds after Jennie glared at her. "Remember what I told you last time?" Jennie scowled before answering. She didn't know what Lisa wanted now, so maybe the answer would make her leave. "You said that I should not walk at night alone if I don't want to get into danger, and that's next time, I should ask a friend to help me out."

She was surprised at how she remembered what she had been told so well. Like a stupid little idiot who had a crush on somebody for years only to get heartbroken afterward.

Lisa gritted her teeth this time. Jennie wondered what made her so pissed.

"Don't walk at night alone if you don't want to get into danger. Next time, ask a friend to help you out. And, not a male friend." Lisa said before she continued. "That's my exact words."

Jennie widened her eyes, not in surprise that Lisa had been stalking her anymore, but at how accurate she was at guessing.

Well, not that Jennie had not seen Lisa once or twice randomly these past few weeks after the incident happened in front of her house.

"He's my co-worker, my friend to be exact."

"He's a male."

"He's a good guy, not that it's your concern, but I know people I have around me."

"No, you don't. He only wants you. What makes you think he has good intentions with you voluntarily coming into his trap."

His car.

That was what Lisa meant, but she didn't know how to state it in a way that was polite, so she just went with what she had now.

"Well, it's on me, then. You don't have to care."

"Mino. He is the boss of your company, not your co-worker."

Jennie ignored the fact that Lisa knew Mino's stuff before retorting. "He's my boss's son. It doesn't make him my boss. Sooner or later, he might become one, you know, since he is my boss's only son, but right now, he is in the same position as me. And, he's my friend."

"He's filthy rich. What makes you think he wants you?"

Well, that was low of Lisa, and Lisa herself knew it, but she couldn't stop herself.

Who in the fucking world wouldn't want Jennie?

Even her.

But, because of her stupid resentment towards the guy, she didn't have time to think much. Seconds later, she saw Jennie wiping her eyes angrily before pushing her aside.

"Jennie."

She didn't turn, instead, she locked her door successfully this time before stepping inside. Lisa put one foot in between the door. "Jennie. I am sorry."

Jennie's face reddened. She didn't listen. She was insulted by the woman she loved for so long. There was nothing left for her to say, after all.

"Jennie." Lisa shouted, stepping inside her apartment, which was wrong. Lisa noticed again, but it didn't stop her from going in. "I said I am sorry."

Jennie stopped resisting. She looked like she even stopped breathing before she slapped Lisa on the face. "How dare you!"

She was strong. Lisa thought. No woman in the world could slap as hard as Jennie did to her. How could she even compare when the only woman that was brave enough to do so was only Jennie.

Women only wanted Lisa, not to hit her.

Jennie was different. She was sure of it.

"So, what you were saying is that Mino is a rich man, and he just wants to get in my pants. That a good man like him would think that I am only his toy. That..."

Before she could continue, Lisa grabbed her neck, slamming her lips against hers. Their breathings were raging. Neither of them had expected this.

"I am sorry." Lisa mumbled softly again. "What I am trying to say is what makes a man like him value a precious person like you? What I meant is he doesn't deserve you. You deserve better."

"Then, who deserves me if it's not him?"

Lisa didn't answer, instead, she just used her thumbs to wipe both of her cheeks. "You always deserve the most. I am sorry, angel."

Then, Lisa planted another soft kiss on her head before leaving, and Jennie was confused and heartbroken at the same time.
