As we were eating the noddles I realized 2 packets of spice weren't my thing. I was secretly huffing for air while she ate more like it was nothing to her. Her spice tolerance was insane.

Having endured enough approximately in one and a half packet, I dropped the plate and took the ice cream bowl in hands. Without thinking of the way I was presenting myself in front of her, I kept scooping he ice cream into my mouth.

Rakshit:- mein sachi keh raha hun (bites) age se ye ghtia cheez (bites) kabhi nahi khane vala mein (bites) chahe mrne hi kyu na vala hu mein.

Drishti:- tum bhi na

I heard her laugh. My eyes narrowed at the bowl before falling on Drishti who was ate the rest of the noddles too. As she finished she placed the plate on the tray and picked her bowl of ice cream.

Taking one stick of kit kat she put it between her lips and bit it slowly. Just like a mouse you know. A big beautiful mouse.

Rakshit:- ismein hasne vali bat nahi hai okay.

Drishti:- sure

She smiled.

The ice cream in both the bowls finished and it was finally the time for the talk. After returning the tray to the kitchen I sat in front of her to answer every single question of hers.

We sat silently for a few minutes. She played with her hands in her lap while I decided to lay on my side of the bed and wait for her to speak something.

Drishti:- tum apni family ke bare mein bata rahe the.

Rakshit:- Drishti mein tumse kuch chupana nahi chahta. Sach to ye hai meri koi family nahi. Mein bin family ke bara hua hun.

I closed my eyes and waited for her to lash out in frustration or disappointment but not a word came from her mouth. This I opened my eyes and found her staring at me.

Drishti:- ok.

Okay?

I quickly rose up from the sleeping posture and sat in front of her in desi style.

Rakshit:- okay? Mujhe laga tum gussa hogi ki meine tumhe pehle nahi bataya.

Drishti:- to kya hua. Ab kuch na kuch to hona tha. Aur vaise bhi meri shadi tumse hui hai, tumhari family se thodi na.

Now you all see why I love her.

She placed her legs on the same side and leaned on the other side with the support of her hands. Her bangles clinged together with each movement she made.

Drishti:- to tum yaha akele rehte ho?

Rakshit:- han. Pehle pehle ek dog hota tha mere pas par phir vo mar gaya to meine dobara koi pet nahi lia. Unke jane ka dukh bht hota hai. Kai bar vaise safai krne ke lea ek aunty ati hain Sunday ko. Zyadar time office mein bitta hai mera so ghar saf hi rehta hai you know.

Her lips curled into an o shape for seconds before she stopped talking and slipped into some deep thoughts.

Rakshit:- kya soch rahi ho?

Drishti:- tum ab bhi sara time office kein hi bitaoge?

So my wife was worried if I would spend time with her, right?

Rakshit:- nahi. Bilkul nahi. Ab to vaise bhi koi hogi jo mera bhi intezar kar rahi hogi. So ghar to jldi ana hi hoga na.

We smiled at each other. Her hand moved to push the hairs from face which was bowed down. As she lifted her head gently with her hand below her ears and looked at me with those lips in a soothing smile, the insides of my stomach tickled.

Drishti:- mein ek bat bolu?

Rakshit:- zaroor bolo. Mujhse kyu puch rahi ho.

Drishti was full of unexpected actions that was why I had no idea she would do such a thing right now. She crept closer to me and wrapped her arms around my arms, placing her head on my shoulder.

My chest rose and fell which could be felt by her. I was hesitant to hold her at first since the moment had left me in a shock.

So yaad rakhna.

She looked at me dead in the eye and cupped my face.

Drishti:- tum meri majboori nahi.

Rakshit:- Drishti

Drishti:- mujhe pata hai tumhe bura lag raha hoga. Aur ye bhi ho skta hai tumhe age bhi bura lage. To mein bs clear kar rahi thi ki ab tumse meri shadi hui hai so ye bat socho ki meri qismat mein tum the. So baki sab tension ko maro goli.

Her hands rose from my shoulders before patting them harshly twice.

Drishti:- samjhe?

I nodded my head positively and watched her smile.

Drishti:- good! Vaise mein bata dun mein dukhi nahi hun.

She moved from beside me and stood on the bed studying the room. The omly thing I regretted was not holding her back when I could have.

Drishti:- ab tum soch rahe hoge kyu. To mein bata dun ki mujhe koi farak nahi prta. Ab tum hi batao, usne mujhe dhokha dia to mein kyu apne asu uspe waste karu? Ye to injustice hua na.

Rakshit:- obviously

Drishti:- phir mujhe aya gussa aur meine socha shadi to mein aj hi karugi. Agar phir koi befkoof dhund lea apne lea to? Bad kein glti na ho islea meine bhi aj hi shadi krne ki rat laga di. Aur dekho, dulha bhi mil gaya. Tum vaise bare lucky ho yar. Shadi mein ae the shadi krke dulhan hi le gae.

She fell on her knees in front of me and gave me a mischievous look.

Drishti:- kya qismat hai tumhari

Exactly. Kya qismat hai meri.

Seeing her talk and laugh like the way I had always seen, it was peace to my soul. The feeling of euphoria was high whenever she touched me between her talks or would lean on me while laughing at her own jokes.

We spent the night talking to each other and also deciding what I would wearing for the reception tomorrow. Even if the marriage wasn't what she had expected today, she acted like she was happy with it and accepted what her fate had for her.

Such was my love.

Drishti(timid voice):- ek bat puchu?

Rakshit:- pucho.

Drishti:- bat thodi ajeeb hai vaise.

Rakshit:- Drishti, jo puchna hai pucho.

She caught her fingers tightly and bowed her head in embarrassment.

Drishti:- tumhara nam kya hai?

-_-
