It had been two days since the couple arrived at the house. Two days where the owner has been living as the third wheel. Hell would be a better place right now for Joohaeng. His shitty friends have eaten everything in the kitchen and his own secret stash of snacks when he was at school. Like how did they find it? He questioned himself too often. That is why his goals for today are to buy food and like the last few days, try not to clean his eyes with bleach. For the time being, he has been successful but if they didn't tone down the PDA he would rather live blind and deaf. Yoohan may seem like an innocent person but how loud he was sometimes was frightening. All Joohaeng wished for was one silent night. That sweet sound of nothingness while he drifted away to dreamland.
"Okay so here are the rules. I will go out and buy some food, so don't do anything stupid. That includes stepping your foot outside the house and let me remind you to keep things under 7+. I don't want to hire a shaman to purify the house. Which I think I already need to because of your "night habits". Do we have a deal?"
They were back sitting on the couches. Joohaeng on one side, like a parent having "the talk" with his child and the child's partner. But he was also at the same time pinning the couple onto the couch in front of him with his gaze.
"Yes", they both answered at the same time, one very nonchalantly, one a bit guilty.
During the last couple of days, there hasn't been much happening, except what Joohaeng was complaining about. But the tension had only multiplied in Yeonwoo. Building up like a dam that is filling with water, a dam that can break at any moment.
Yeonwoo didn't think that his probe wouldn't know what was happening inside the mind of his, but how wrong he was. Yoohan did notice the change and has been doing his best to distract him. Which has led to him using the best tool he had to accomplish this, his own body. Some would say that he is taking advantage of Yeonwoo but they would be proven wrong by how willing his mono was.
"Good, then I'm leaving"
Joohaeng stood up and walked to the door. Putting on his shoes and jacket. Then he turned his head back to the couches like a viper that sensed something. Which he did.
"I said 7+ ! That means no kissing! Yoohan move away from Yeonwoo, he is not food. Remember I will know what you two have done when I come back. So don't try anything".
"Oh, you don't know what we have done when you come back" answered Yoohan smugly with a wink as the front door was closing.
The probe then looked back to where his mono was sitting beside him. But the spot was empty. He scratched his head while his gaze danced around the room. Until something produced a loud noise. He moved to it, navigating his way through the house. Fast but silent, not daring to make noise that could give away his location. He was close now only a wall between. He took a step, now standing in the doorway.
He casually leaned back against it and smirked a bit. In front of him was his mono vacuuming the floor of the guest room they were staying in. This dangerous criminal that society had labeled his mono to be, was now cleaning to make it up to their host. How predictable his Yeonwoo was, he thought while shaking his head.
Knowing that Yeonwoo wouldn't stop cleaning for a while, Yoohan decided to go to Joohaeng's room. He opened the wooden door and stepped into a very tidy room. It was quite small but there was enough room for a desk, a bed, a wardrobe and a bookcase. The probe went to the desk where Joohaeng's computer was and opened it.
It had no password much to Yoohan's liking so, in no time he managed to open Naver. His eyes winded at the sight of what was trending. He thought that it might blow over soon but netcitizens seemed not willing to let the topic go.
"A mono high schooler kidnapped his probe"
"The missing high schooler still not found"
"Choi Yeonwoo, the dangerous mono. Who is he?"
All he could find that was trending was about them. Yoohan would never regret saving his mono but he never wanted this outcome. The thing is that he didn't know what to do now. They were stuck in Seoul living like parasites of their friend. They needed a solution and that was something he didn't have.
He smacked the laptop close with great force and strode into the kitchen, the only room in the house that had a window looking out to the street. This house was their prison but also their safe haven. It protected them from the outside world, the world that wanted to pull them apart. The world that couldn't understand them. He clenched his fist and slammed it on the workbench. If only they hadn't lost their stuff at the motel.
The mono was his world now and he would protect him with everything he had. That included never letting him go online again. Yoohan knew what would happen if Yeonwoo saw the comments online. The boy had already been broken and he can't let him break again. He's trying his best to make his mono piece himself back together but the hammer called society was still a threat. Yoohan just stood there glaring at his disgusting old world outside wanting it to burn for wanting to hurt his Yeonwoo.
His breathing became ragged and his body was flaring up. He lifted his hand and punched the window. It didn't break but it alerted a person walking past the house. Yoohan then left the kitchen, too frustrated to even think clearly.
The probe's steps took him to the living room where he collapsed on the sofa. In the background, he could hear Yeonwoo moving on to the next room. Yoohan was too tired to deal with everything so he surrendered to the power of a nap. Deep down he knew that he would regret it.
