TW: Fictional animal death mentioned
Skeppy sighed as he dropped his bag to the floor, not even bothering to be quiet. He wandered over to the desk on the far side of the dark room, not really caring about whether or not he was surrounded by traps or not. Surprisingly, he didn't trip on anything or set off any traps, just a dark, silent room. Skeppy noticed a new chair by the desk that hadn't been there before. It looked like it had been dragged out of one of the other offices or maybe a supply closet.
He tossed himself down into the chair and looked around, wondering what he'd be up to tonight. His gaze settled on the window he could see past the oversized chair across the table from him. Without warning, Crimson jumped out from under the table. "Diamond, I got Monopoly!" He shouted.
Skeppy jumped a little before laughing it off, knowing Crimson probably hadn't meant to scare him too much. "Alright, I'll be the banker."
"You'll just cheat! I want to be the banker!" Crimson whined.
"Why would I cheat? You're the evil one here," Skeppy laughed.
"Aw, that makes me sad, you're right, but I'm still sad you called me evil!"
"I think you should take it as a compliment," Skeppy smiled.
"Really? Oh wait, yeah, I am evil!" Crimson smiled in the darkness.
"Hey uh- Crimson?"
"Yes?"
"I can't really... See the board," Skeppy admitted, not sure if Crimson could see it either.
"Well what do you want me to do? I can't turn on the lights in here," Crimson said.
"Surely you have a light of some sort?" Skeppy asked.
"Hmm," Crimson pondered this. "I mean, I have glow sticks?" He said, reaching into his bag and pulling out a package of glow sticks.
"I mean, it's better than nothing," Skeppy laughed, taking a couple and lighting them up around the board.
Crimson was doing something else with the glow sticks, and, when Skeppy looked up, he saw Crimson holding a glow stick necklace. "Here you go, Diamond," Crimson smiled, placing the necklace around Skeppy's neck. "Now you can't complain about the dark!" Crimson settled back into his chair.
Skeppy laughed and took another look at the board. While it was still dark, he could finally see it. If only I didn't need this helmet.
...
"Geppy!" Skeppy heard a knocking on his door. "Skeppy, get up!"
"Hmm?" Skeppy was confused, but quickly realized what was going on. "Just a minute!" He pulled himself out of bed and looked in the mirror at the clothing he was wearing. He was wearing Crimson's sweatshirt and some shorts over his superhero outfit. He had been so tired the night before that he didn't even bother to change, just throwing some clothes on over his suit and hoping it was enough.
"Skeppy, if you aren't out here in 5 minutes I'm leaving without you!" Bad said from behind the door.
Skeppy quickly changed into something a little bit more normal before ditching the other clothes in the closet. He'd deal with that later, right now he just had to focus on being on time to work. He searched around for a comb or hairbrush but couldn't find one, so he opted to just ruffle his hair around with his fingers. He threw on his shoes and grabbed his backpack before leaving his room to follow Bad. He was glad he had two hero costumes so he would be able to take his other one.
