Summer was coming close to an end and everybody was tweeting about how they didn't want to go back to school. I actually enjoyed going to school because I am what most people would call a "social butterfly". The main reason I was so anxious to start school was because my birthday is in September and I can start going to all the night clubs because I'll be turning eighteen. I've been dying to turn eighteen since the seventh grade when my older brother Devon started going to clubs and posting obnoxious pictures on MySpace. This was my senior year, so I have to get a little more crazier than I already am.

I hear a light but hard knock on my door and by the sound of it; I already knew who it was. Before, I could even say anything; my mom walks in and just gives me one of her looks that she gives me. It was one of those: "Why haven't you cleaned the house up today while I was at work" type of looks. I shook my head and rolled my eyes because I knew she was about to lecture me. Suprisingly, she didn't which must mean that her boyfriend was taking her on a date. I loved helping her get dressed up for her dates.

I jump off the bed and follow my mom into her closet and ask: "Where are you and Dave going tonight"?

"The Cartier! I was shocked when he told me where we was going because that is the most expensive restaurant in Madison. You have to make reservations like a month prior, so you can get a table. I'm truly blessed to have found Dave!", she said.

My mom hasn't been this happy in like forever but I'm glad to see her happy. It's just my mom and I since Devon went off to Arizona State which was where my parents met. He's already in his sophmore year but I always look forward to his visits. He was the "man" of the house when mom and dad divorced. Now, all me and mom have is Dave and he isn't around as much because he's on his book tour.

Dave wrote a New York Time's Best Seller last year and he's been going to all these different states. It's so cool because he always brings me a souvenir from each state he goes too. I don't have all fifty states yet but I hope I will soon.

Mom walks out in a long, silky black dress that looked as if it was handcrafted by God, himself. Her long, brown hair falling a little below her shoulder blades and her perfect slim body, with her freshly done mani/pedi. I was stunned at how beautiful a person could be. I pray every night that I inherited my mom's good genes. As, I am watching her touch up her make-up, the door bell rings.

I jumped at the sound and dashed downstairs and peeped through the curtain and unlocked the door. Dave smiled and kissed my cheek as he stepped into the house. I took a step back to get a full view of him. His jet black hair was a tad bit messy just the way my mom liked it, his elegant black tuxedo with his pretty bowtie, and a bouquet of flowers for my mom.

We look up the stairs and watch my mom slowly walk down the stairs looking as beautiful as she was before I came downstairs. She had that perfect smile that everyone dreams of. Her and Dave kiss and he hands her the flowers and she turns to me and says: "Don't wait up sweetie. I'll be home a little late tonight. Here is twenty bucks, you can order in tonight. Love you!"

I kissed her on the cheek and shut the door before dashing upstairs to text my best friend Connor to come pick me up. Connor would be here in twenty minutes, so I applied some make-up and got dressed. After numerous tweets about the party over at the Jacobson twins house; I knew where mine and Connor's night was about to be spent at.

My phone lit up from a text message from Connor saying he was outside, so I grabbed my purse and my house keys and ran out of the door. Connor, is always blasting his radio, no matter where he is at. I opened up the passanger car door to his Mazda 626 and told him where we were going. Connor flashed me a smile and told me to look in the back seat. Turning my head to the back seat, I spot the booze which meant tonight will get fucking epic.

We arrived to the Jacobson twins house after a fifteen minute drive. I got out and opened the back door to help Connor with the booze. Typical, Connor knew I hated dark liquor because it turns me into a complete bitch. The last time I had dark liquor, me and this random girl at my ex's party were on the floor, ripping each others hair out. I gave Connor one of my "fuck you" looks and he started laughing. We walked into the party and were greeted by a ton of kids from our school. We played it cool by smiling and waving but Connor and I don't even know half of these people. We just recognize the familiar faces and kept it moving.

After about a few shots of dark liquor and two blunts, I was fucked up. Connor and I were barely dancing on the coffee table while recieving harsh looks from the twins. They couldn't stand us but we smiled and flicked them off and continued dancing. Two short hours later, Connor and I knew we were in no shape to drive anywhere, so we walked to the park which was a block away. I could barely walk without falling but I can blame that on the Louboutin heels that I stole out of my mom's closet. Connor couldn't stop laughing at my attempt at walking. I felt a huge relief when we made it to the swingset. Connor and I love to have serious talks when we are intoxicated or just plain fucked up and I still have no idea why we love to talk while we're in this state of mind but I didn't give a fuck.

I bummed a cigarette off of Connor and inhaled the cold menthol smoke into my lungs. Connor was so lucky that he already was eighteen but he swore he wouldn't step into a nightclub until I turned eighteen. That's what I call a true best friend and I am so glad to have his ass in my life. Connor and I have been best friends since I moved to Madison in the third grade. He was the awkward kid who every one picked on until puberty set in and Connor developed into a charming man that all the girls at our school wish they could get close too. Until, Connor broke all the girl's hearts by coming out of the closet in the tenth grade. I was the first one he told before he told everyone else which meant the world to me. I turn to Connor and just smile at him.

He gives me one of his weird looks and say: "Is their something on my face? Why are you looking at me like that, weirdo"?

I burst out laughing while trying to keep my composure but that was just impossible so, I shook my head.

I pulled out my phone and nearly shit myself when I realized it was three in the morning. I gave Connor a worrisome look and told him we needed to leave now. I barely got the door unlocked due to the shakiness in my hand. I shut the door and creeped inside, praying my mom hasn't gotten home yet. Luckily, she wasn't but once I was in my room I heard the door open and I could hear her and Dave laughing and talking. Wiping my forehead from relief that I beat them home in less than two minutes, I changed into some night clothes and browsed Twitter until I passed out.
