Waking up from my nap, I checked the time on my phone. I rolled my eyes when I seen that mom has been off for a few hours now. Jumping out of bed, I race into my bathroom and turned the knob and watched the water explode out of the shower head. I stick my hand out to see if the water has gotten warm yet and once it was just at the right temperature, I took off my clothes and got in.
Wrapping the towel around my body, I walk over to my closet and found some comfy pajamas. Once, I was fully clothed, I made the decision to face my mother. I walk down the stairs as slowly as I can but the sounds my stomach was making, I knew I needed to be in the kitchen in the next five seconds. When I walked into the kitchen, mom was sitting on a bar stool and when she looked up from her bowl of ice-cream, I knew she wasn't too pleased with me.
Mom really gave me the lecture of the year. I know she is just be caring but she didn't have to cancel my subscription to Netflix or my phone.
"I know you're mad at me right now but when will my phone service be turned back on?"
"We'll see if your behavior changes in the next two weeks but that reminds me, make it three since Dave seen Connor dropping you off earlier today. You have a lot of nerve leaving today after the stunt you pulled."
"MOM! What was I supposed to do all day? You cut off my phone and Netflix account. I would've died of boredom yesterday and you know that!
"Erica, you and I both know that is bullshit. You will not die from boredom and plus, we have a bookshelf full of wonderful books that you could've read. That would've kept you busy for most of the day until I came home."
"I'm not reading none of your books! They are older than great-grandma! I only read books that are being made into movies."
"Most of those books have been made into movies but you wouldn't know that because you never want to watch any movies with me."
I was fed up at this point and finished my bowl of ice-cream, and walked up stairs. Tomorrow was going to be the first day of school and I have to wear the perfect outfit to start the new school year. Clothes always help clear my mind when I'm in my moods. After going through all the clothes mom and I bought, I finally found the perfect outfit. I decided on a festive tribal chevron print romper and some flats with a few bracelets. I can think about my hair tomorrow morning because I'd be up all night thinking about different styles, and I need to be well rested if I want to look my best.
"Why did mom have to cut my phone off? I want to call Connor so bad and see if he heard from Rex.", I thought to myself. "Fuck my life!"
By the time, I settled down, it was time to go to sleep. I laid there restless for about thirty minutes before I doze off into a deep sleep.
**A/N: This chapter is short because I figured it could be used as a fill in. Chapter seven will be uploaded tomorrow because I need to edit it a little. Hope you enjoy! :)**
