Mom woke me up and told me that she called Connor to come take me to school because she wasn't going to be able too because of work. I shrugged it off, jumped out of bed, and headed for the kitchen to find something to eat. Once in the kitchen, I settled for two granola bars and a cup of orange juice while writing on the chalk board that is on our refridgerator to inform mom to go grocery shopping when she got off of work. Disposing of my trash, I run back upstairs to get dressed and apply my make up.
Adding the finishing touches to my lipstick, I decided to straighten my hair because I had forgot to organize my binder the night before.
"I'm such a fucking reject.", I thought.
Feeling the heat of the straightener, I run and crack a window to let some cool air come in before I started to sweat my make up off. Mom knocks on my door, gives me a good look, and smiles telling me how I look beautiful in my outfit, how proud she is of me, etc.. I smiled and blew her a kiss before saying she needed to go grocery shopping.
"Dave is bringing us something to eat tonight. He mentioned something about lamb chops with cracked pepper and rosemary with a dessert of your choice. Sounds delicious.", she said as her stomach growled.
"That does sound delicious. You might want to eat a little something before you go, so you will energy to work."
"Don't worry baby. I will! Have a good day at school."
I smiled as she turned to walk out of my door. I finished straightening my hair and ran over to where my school supplies were, and started organizing them in a hurry. Once I finished that, I grabbed all my stuff and headed downstairs to call Connor on the house phone.
"Hey bitch!", he said.
"Hey boo. Where are you? We're going to be late if you're not here in the next ten minutes."
"Fuck! I'm on my way now."
"Hurry!"
I laughed at how Connor was so forgetful. While waiting for Connor to get here, I decided to take a look at our bookshelf. I seen a few books that I had seen in the movies and picked one book out that looked appealing to me and laid it out on my bed, so I can give it a try when I got home.
Fifteen minutes passed and I heard a car pull into the driveway. I heard the horn blowing, so I grabbed my belongings and headed out the door to see Connor brushing his teeth and combing his hair. I couldn't help but to laugh.
"Poor boy.", I thought to myself.
Most of the car ride was spent in silence because of Connor getting ready.
"Remind me to call you tomorrow morning, so you will be ready."
He chuckled and said, "Please do! I've been meaning to ask you. Have you gotten your schedule yet? I haven't?"
"No, we will go to the office and get it. Hopefully, we will have a few classes together. Have you heard from Rex?"
"I haven't heard from him. I guess his mom is really forbidding him from talking to us. I think she needs some dick because she acts like a dried up witch."
"Where the fuck do you come up with this shit?", I said as I was laughing.
"My brain comes up with it. I'm very intelligent.", he said as he shot me a playful wink.
We pulled up to the school parking lot and parked. Walking into the school, the hallway was filled with my peers trying to find their "cliques" that they belonged to since freshman year. Pushing through the crowd was horrible. Who knew it would be this much trouble just to get to the office to get a freaking schedule? Somehow, I managed to lose Connor through this horrible crowd but I knew I'd eventually see him on the other side.
Connor and I were finally reunited after three minutes.
"I thought I would never see you again.", I said with a pouty face.
"You're so crazy!", he said as he let out a little giggle.
We exchanged schedules the second we got them. We only had about three periods together and we had the same lunch period. I was so relieved because if I had to eat lunch by myself like I did in junior year, I would probably flip out.
"I wonder if Rex is here?", I said.
"Who knows? Maybe, we will find him later on in the day. I'm pretty sure he'll be glad to see us."
"Yeah, you are right. I'm about to head to home room. See you in second period. Love you bitch!", I said as I blew a kiss.
He shot me a smile and I strolled off to homeroom. I took my seat in the very back of the class room because they say Mr. Reddman was a cold-hearted bastard. I wasn't about to take any chances. I took a look at all my classmates and seen a few familiar faces but none that I cared too much about. Lunch came quicker than expected. I never thought I would make it through trigonometry alive. I quickly grabbed a tray of food and took a seat upstairs and waited for Connor to get here.
Connor finally showed up after about ten minutes or so. He had a puzzled look on his face and I couldn't wait to ask what was wrong.
"What's wrong boo? You look like something is bothering you."
"Yeah. I was just talking to Rex's cousin, Landon, and he told me that Rex's mom is homeschooling him because she doesn't want him associating with bad kids like us. Can you believe that shit? I feel so bad for Rex."
"What the fuck? She is mentally fucked up. We're teenagers for crying out loud. Everyone makes mistakes and we happened to make a mistake that landed us in jail? She acts like she is this fucking saint when she isn't!"
Connor shrugged his shoulders. I could sense that this was hurting him because him and Rex have gotten closer to each other and now Rex's mom is not allowing them to hang out anymore. It's so fucked up. We strolled to the trashcan and dumped our remaining food into the trash bag and headed for our next period. The rest of the school day, I couldn't focus because I kept thinking about how Rex is feeling about all of this.
The bell rang and I ran out to Connor's car. I was ready to get home and sleep the rest of this day away. What a nice way to start the school year? The car ride home was nothing but silence except for the faint voice of the radio that was barely audible. When Connor pulled up to my house, all I could do was hug him and told him that we would straighten this all out. We just have to be patient. He smiled at me and told me thank you.
I ran upstairs straight to my room. I dropped my bags on the floor and slipped my shoes off and just laid into bed until I felt my eyes getting heavier.
**A/N: Thank you guys for being patient with me. I really appreciate it! I hope you guys enjoy this chapter. Can you believe Rex's mom though? Don't forget to comment and vote. It means a lot. :)**
