Fun fact! This is an edited and continued version of an assignment I did in ELA!

TW; Cursing, blood, violence, threatened gore,

Hidden amongst the greenery of the forest behind a bush, fighting back coughing in the cold, prickly air, was a humanoid by the alias of 'M.' They weren't aware that they and L would be hunted down by that otherworldly entity possessing that poor, poor soul today. They were at first confused when seeing the man appear. Well, less confused about that but more confused that their guest room closet had morphed into a portal to New Jersey. That confusion quickly became fear when the 5'3 man's familiarity was realized. But they hadn't left the house. The doors to the outside world were locked and even when unlocking them they remained closed shut. With the coming danger, they did the most rational thing they could think of and grabbed the nearest weapon - a large carving knife - and went to hide. they soon found themself...walking through the woods...once they had opened a door to a lockable bedroom. Even if they did escape, actually, how would they get home? They had no idea where they actually were or where L was and they had no phone. They only had the notebook they had been panickedly scribbling in during every event as they were doing now, giving their final thoughts before they were slaughtered.

From inside the bush they could hear footsteps approaching and their heart rate increased. Tightening their hand on the handle of the blade, they prepared for the worst seeing the purple-associated entity walk by. Was he looking for them or just pretending to be clueless to get them to let their guard down enough to catch them? Either way, the slight movement of their arm tightening on the blade scared a nearby animal, causing the bushes to shake lightly and alert the shorter. Oh. With a grin that exposed his sharpened teeth, he walked towards the bush, crouching down in front of it.

"You're a runner, aren't ya? And a good one, at that, I'll sa-" He was cut off with his own pained, animalistic scream as M lurched forward out of the greenery and stabbed the knife in their hand deep into the inside of his left thigh, attempting to strike the artery residing there and make a run for it.

The brunette twisted the blade as well, making the wound larger before roughly tugging it out and staggering up, making a run for it. They weren't planning on dying anytime soon, thank you very much. They soon heard footsteps behind them. He was already up and running towards them and getting closer by the second. What the fuck? They had taken out an artery that could kill a regular human in mere seconds! They felt a force hit their head and everything went dark once more.

M awoke in a dark, nearly-impossible-to-see-in room. They were sitting on a type of cool, smooth plastic that was about a foot or so off the ground? What surprised them was that they weren't tied down. They could move freely if they so happened to feel like it. And they did so happen to feel like it. They were up and off the object, which was presumably a sort of chair, rather quickly, stumbling a bit due to standing too fast. Their head pounded from when they were knocked out cold, but hey! Their eyes were beginning to adjust to the dark! They were able to find an unplugged floodlight, so that was a good thing! They plugged it in and the bright light appeared. Holy fuck, nevermind, that wasn't a good thing. There was soon able-to-see blood absolutely everywhere on the floor and parts of the walls. Stained weapons were discarded around the chair they were sitting in. The yellow chair was surprisingly blood free, though. A sense of terror rising, M made a fast-paced walk towards where the door seemed to be, praying that some miracle would happen and the door would be easily unlocked. Putting a hand on the doorknob, they soon found that it began to move without them even turning it. Oh. Oh no. They backed away, moving to the side in hopes they'll go unnoticed long enough to escape. Who are they kidding, actually? Their face was an inky black with a white smiley face that changed expressions and GLOWED. Even if they shut their eyes, they'd glow. They'd have to cover their face completely, which they can't do when they need to pay attention to their surroundings. They stayed completely silent, a hand over their mouth to muffle their breathing as the door opened.
